Our experience with Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home has been excellent. Several years ago Sandra Donihue helped my husband and I and my sister enroll in the cremation program. My sister passed in Vermont about 2 years later. I called Baldwin Brothers just before midnight to let them know. They called a local funeral home in Vermont and her body was respectfully taken within 2 hours. Recently Sandra has helped my other sister to enroll in the program so that we all can have peace of mind, knowing that it will all be handled with ease.
I was greeted by the receptionist, very friendly and Efficient. Sandra Donihue was the lady that helped me with the processing of my pre-planning. She was very informative and helped me make the right choices as to what I wanted in the future. She was very thorough in explaining everything to me. I will definitely recommend her to family and friends.
Baldwin Brothers in New Smyrna Beach did an outstanding job from start to finish. The staff was so kind and accommodating to my family during an extremely difficult time. They were so helpful through the entire process, making sure we had everything we could possibly need.
I am terribly saddened by the lack of care, dignity, and respect they had for my mother in law. My heart is even more saddened for the way my husband was treated during his darkest hours of losing his mother. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.
Christine Johns Family Service Advisor was great to deal with, especially when it comes to a subject not all of us are comfortable with. Pre planning your funeral should be a priority for us all, especially the over 60 group. Christine made it simple and a freeing experience. What peace of mind knowing your family will not have to do last minute decisions at a time when they are most likely not at their best. Thank you Cristine, you were professional and personable in helping us do this important task. Thank you also Baldwin Brothers for having such an awesome employee in your ranks.
My agent, Lori, was very helpful and thorough in her explanation of the various options available to me along with me being a Veteran, we were able to work out a plan to fit my needs at a reasonable cost. She was patient and definitely NOT a high pressure, deadline, driven counselor. I say counselor because she counseled me on the options, and let the explanations speak for themselves she didn't try to sell me a policy. I would highly recommend her to my friends and associates. I am leaving this review for the Staff at Baldwin Brothers in New Smyrna Beach Florida. The Funeral Director Lydia Gearheart, and all her colleges cold heartly went above and beyond expectation from the facility to the program and ensuring everything we needed, was done in a precise and timely manner. Our situation was unique, and the staff provided guidance and assistance the whole way from start to finish. They were very gracious and caring and provided the support we needed to make the ceremony successful from start to finish.
Our experience with Baldwin Brothers funeral home has been wonderful on several very important issues we face as life moves forward. The inevitable ‘end of life’ is obviously the biggest issue our families will have to make, And, it will come to us all. If we’re not prepared for it, we’ll be leaving all the added pain & expense of what comes next when parent, or a family member passes away to our children or relatives to figure out while attempting to say goodby to someone they love. Sandra Donihue, our presenter at one of their afternoon lunches/presentation, continued on as our guide, making sure all our questions were answered and our wishes were met. She did it with grace, finesse, empathy - and complete knowledge of all that needs to be done when a love one passes. My wife and I now have total control of what’s going to happen when either one of us dies. No one else. When the time comes, ‘ONE’ phone call is all anyone has to make and everything, and I mean everything will be taken care of the way we wanted and it’ll be all paid for so your family can grieve in their own way without the very emotional steps of trying to make decisions, especially financial ones, and all that goes with the process of taking care of the loved ones body after they die. It is the absolute worst time to attempt to be rational when someone you love, passes. So my wife and I took all of that out of our families hands and took care of our own plans and expenses once we leave our body. No matter what part of the country we’re in at the time of our passing, one phone call and everything is handled, everything. It’s the most peace we’ve had in a long time thinking about our family after we pass. And trust me, if you’re over 65 or 70, you’re thinking about it on occasion. And the older you get, the more you think about it.. Oh, and BTW, Sandra, our presenter and representative for Baldwin Brothers funeral home, is not only totally knowledgeable about all aspects of, “What do we do now?” She is one of the most compassionate people we’ve met who truly knows how to make one feel comfortable and help make the proper decisions about our own passing. Thank you Sandy, and I pray, I hope, and will do all I can to make sure that one phone call announcing my passing won’t come for a long time…
I have referred several of my clients to Baldwin Brothers for pre-need planning. In addition, have made at need arrangements. All interactions have been very professional and were provided in a most caring and considerate way. Sandra Donihue has been my primary contact and I think of her first when one of my clients has a need. I would highly recommend Baldwin Brothers for both pre-need and at needed planning. In fact, my wife and I have a pre-need cremation plan with Baldwin Brothers.
Compliments to Baldwin Brothers and especially to their Counselor Ms.Cathy Wild. My husband and I attend one of their seminars recently and were pleasantly surprised and very grateful that we did. Final arrangements are not easy for some people to make but with Cathy's knowledge and patience to answer all of our questions it made things very pleasant for us to handle. Two days later we had Cathy come to the house and complete all of the necessary paperwork and answer a few more questions. My husband and I are now relieved that the stress of our final arrangements are now taken care of and that our family will not have to do anything but make a phone call.
