Decent place to have a family cookout with an opportunity to catch fish. There are many picnic tables, portapottys and a large playground. Good family fun on a nice day.
They have a brand new playground and it's awesome! It was like a pirate ship. The only thing that I don't love about it is that they made the little baby playground area the same thing as half of the bigger kid playground area. It's still a great playground for littler kids but it's the same exact thing as the other playground so I just don't understand why they put two of the same playground in. But it's seriously brand new it has the name of the park engraved on the side, they're a little pirate ships with so many rope climbing areas. I can definitely see this becoming one of the destination playgrounds of Baltimore county this summer.
I'm in my mid-30s and I've gone to this park since I could walk as a child. This was a favorite place to go for our family for many occasions. Until the last year, the park remained unchanged. It recently got a facelift with new park playgrounds, sliding boards n jungle gyms. They did some renovations to the pier ect. Very nice place n very active. It's quite a diverse Park never had an issue in all the years with staff or visitors. Restrooms: Big portable pottys. Clean n wheelchair friendly Dog-friendliness: It be dogs around on leash Picnic area: Pavilions with roof
amazing and new upgrades are amazing and not only fun for the kid's but adults too lol
This park is so beautiful. A woman I met at Rocky point state park introduced my children and I to this park and we’ve come twice the last week. There is a good size playground, pavilion, picnic tables and benches bordering the water. There is also a pier for fishing and a goose pond. It is so peaceful and calm and just a fun place to take the kids to burn some energy.
I am here now! I am enjoying watching the squirrel chases, the birds flying, and the ducks strolling. There was an unidentified animal that crawled from the treeline near the water to graze also. The birds are singing and the wind is blowing. The view is fabulous as the brisk winds blow the currents along. From the area were I am seated, there is water on three sides, hence Cox Point. Their numerous picnic tables and grills are spread across the spacious area. There are three fishing piers and a boat dock. Oh I forgot to mention the playground. It's a well kept Baltimore County secret! Sshhhhusshh! No they didn't pay we to write this!
Plenty of places to fish. Caught a fat cat on a hotdog. Yeah, epic!
Good boat ramp trailer parking can be tight for larger boats. Ramp is short for longer trailers as well. Be cautious at low tide.
Went to Cox Point Park 2 days ago. It was very nicely redone. My family enjoyed sitting at the picnic table while we could see our child and her friend play.
My toddler had a great time on the playground! The park is very nice & right on the water. Plenty of seagulls to watch!!
