The service is really slow and they need to look into a streamlined way for people to come donate blood. The service is also mediocre. Wish they had a faster process so that people would be motivated to come donate blood more often.
I mean, it's a state institution, it takes absolute ages and the waiting room is always full, people seem hopeless and there are children crying sometimes, but it does what it says on the tin and no one ever came here for a fun time.
Very bad policy without giving no explanation for their apparently no wanting donator. Peple insensitive to population needs.
My second time donating blood. The first time was at the Red Cross. I have to say that if it takes a long time here at the IMSS blood bank, it takes me approximately 3 and a half hours. There are only 4 chairs to draw your blood, being from the government it is so that they would have a larger room with more chairs so that the process was faster. The good thing is if they offer you a sandwich and fruit after the donation.
Very good staff attend by appointment lasts a long time but it is worth being there
I went to donate, the people for whom I donated were very well informed, they made our appointments, they gave us all the indications and they gave us questionnaires to see if we were candidates and avoid rejections. To those who require blood, I recommend filtering their donors very well and sharing all the indications with them since there are many rejections. For those donating, please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment, and be prepared to wait up to 2-3 hours while you are passed around, sampled, and donated.
Good day I think that you should have 24-hour attention since any of us could be donors, but making an appointment is unnecessary.
Everything is very organized, they serve you by appointment.
Good attention and treatment, fast procedures and without setbacks... You only need Parking for Donors, there is none and it is a problem for those who have a vehicle. From then on, everything is fine.
The service is good ! I am a frequent donor, but this time I had to donate for a patient who is my grandfather! Eye ! For those who have a hospitalized patient and with a future operation I will give you some advice !!! * Schedule an appointment for my weekend it seemed more practical because most people rest and there are a little less people. * If your letter says 2 donors, bring two more! Since it can happen that one of your donors can not donate watch out it happened to me ! I took 4 and only two if they could and I had to go looking for more people and it's a show!!!. * Eye!!! Leave early because sometimes there are altruistic donors and you can ask them to be your donors! *One day before the donation, remind your donors to respect the indications of the medications and their schedules! For example, if yours is 7 in the morning, tell your donors that they can have dinner until 11 at the latest. And if your appointment is at 11 in the morning, tell them that they can get up at 5 in the morning to have something light for breakfast. Since if you pass from fasting you are no longer fit to donate! I had to see how many angry people returned because of that detail and have to make an appointment! * Something important!!! always make a copy of each paper they give you when you finish donating and write down on the copy the full name and date of the day you deliver it to the Social Security Service! If you lose it and she doesn't write down your donation, they ask for it again! It happened to me with two sheets and they no longer wanted to operate on my grandfather, the good thing that I took a photo with my cell phone and showed them to the head of social services! * Note thank your donor and pay for transportation since sometimes they have to go to work! After making the donation!
