First, I have to say that years ago Banfield was an exceptional experience in caring for my pets. This has unfortunately not been the case for the last 5-6 years, and we are now ending our many year Banfield Wellness Plan, and taking our pups elsewhere. -They rarely return voicemail messages that are left, when this is often the only option provided when calling. I have left messages politely begging them to call me back and NO RESPONSE that day or the next. -If they do pick up, we are put on hold for upwards of 10+ minutes. I recently called, held for 13 minutes and was then hung up on. I called back only to be put on hold again.They either have two many customers or too few employees. -We used to be able to bring our pets in if something important had developed, but now they only have availability for twice yearly wellness plan checks. The common response is, you will have to find a different Banfield to take them to, or find another vet to see them. Such an interesting response when we are paying $1200 per year for their wellness plan for two dogs. -I did not renew the wellness plan that was expiring for one of our dogs we can't cancel the second one until it runs out. We even had a 17 year old dog that died and they said we had to pay his monthly plan until it expired. Really?, but they are saying it is still active. They told me to call a special number to confirm that it was cancelled. I called them this morning and it was a 32 minute wait time, or I could cancel through the automated system. When I chose the latter, it recognizes my phone number, but not my zip code ha, the same zip code that shows online in their portal under my wellness plan!!!. I recommend passing on Banfield and finding a more reliable and inclusive veterinarian office to care for your pets.The amount of time invested in simply trying to get help for our furry friends shouldn't be this convoluted. I hope Banfield will eventually take the time to examine their business practices.
THEY GAVE MY CAT FLEAS, DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!! I've never had a problem with any other banfield, except this one. I've had my first cat for over a year, he never had fleas, then I brought my second cat in after about a month of having him he had a check up right before getting him. NEXT MORNING he is crawling with fleas, and to make matters even worse, my first kitty who has NEVER had fleas ended up being allergic and had to be prescribed steroids. When I made them aware of my situation, I stressed this was an issue and that maybe they should take precautions to clean up better after each pet is seen; however, they denied any responsibility and told me it must be because I live in an apartment. Yet my surrounding neighbors dont have pets, and my cat that has been living here for a year has never had fleas, but they still denied the possibility of any fault. Obviously they don't clean up well enough for anyone to trust their pet to be there and not pick up more issues or diseases.
Update: manager followed up and made sure things were okay and reassured this incident was abnormal and wouldn’t happen in the future. The vet tech was amazingly attentive, as they always are. I would give them five stars. The low rating is for the vet covering today. She asked to see my pet in the back, which is fine, obviously not out of the ordinary, but I was a bit uncomfortable cause it’s my baby, but the vet tech pushed a bit so I said yes. When the vet tech came back and said the vet could talk to me in the next room and leave my two kids in the exam room with the tech so there were no distractions while we talked was off putting…. I told the tech my daughter has separation anxiety we’re new to and navigating, so it’s be easier to stay there. She then pushed even more to have me go in the next room.… we were interrupted cause I had to take my son for an urgent potty break, so we didn’t finish the conversation just yet. On my way the vet tried to guide me in the other room and I said “oh no, I’ll be right back cause we had a potty emergency..” When I came back to our room with my kids, the tech told me to go ahead in the other room…. I said my kids are content so it shouldn’t be a problem to talk with them there. Then the vet didn’t come talk to me, the tech said she’d just reiterate what the vet was going to go over…. At this point I had no interest in talking to this vet. I got the info I needed. But really was not happy with being pushed when I said no nicely, then to not have the vet come talk to me felt personal and was off putting. Just felt really odd, I have never had anyone ask to meet in another room, let alone leave my kids with someone they don’t know, nor do I know….no matter how nice they are, this is not something that should be requested. My kids are well behaved, were coloring and playing on my phone…. Just rubbed me the wrong way. Again, it was a visiting vet, but I won’t be working with her again to say the least.

Very caring and understanding in a delicate situation with putting down our very sick Baby kitty. Then they sent us a sympathy card with his paw print on it! I cried and was blown away, what a cool thing to do, and my 4 year old son treasures the card. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks.
The actual visit wasn't bad, though the assistant was much more caring and pleasant than the actual vet. However, the communication afterwards was terrible. I was told they would get back to us within a week with the test results visit was on Friday 11/4. The following Thursday, my husband called and was told the results had been in on the 5th, but the vet had not had a chance to review them yet. He was told she would do so and get back to us the next day, but she did not. On Saturday I called and was told the results had just come in, and that the vet would be in next on Monday and would get back to us then. Still nothing. Wednesday came now almost 2 weeks from the visit and my husband called again. Again he was told the results had just come in and that the vet had not had a chance to review them yet. He was told she would not be in until the next day and would get back to us then. Later that same day I received a call from the vet saying that she had gotten the results back, but that there was too much blood in the sample for an accurate read on the cells. So, we spent darn near $400 for nothing but runaround. We will now be starting the process again with a new vet.
Great location and super friendly staff! They were super helpful at answering all my concerns and recommending the right food for my chubby cat.
Brought my dog in for excessive dilute urination and vaginal discharge. Met with Dr Hahn. Said needed blood work done. Would not treat for a UTI or do a culture... Poor medical decision making, seemed like quick to push blood work for the $200. Was not receptive to our input.
Doctor Hackney and her staff is impeccable your pet will be in the best hands. My poor cat had a Urinary blockage That was undagnosed I took Him too bandfield to have him checked out She looked at him and told me to take him to a pet hospital that was recommended. She did not charge me for The Visit she gave me the best advice on how to take care of him and has been taking care of him ever since. Her compassion in her staff are impeccable. You will not find another more compassionate vet.
This is specifically for the crew at the West Linn Banfield, but my girl went in to be spayed, and the entire experience was fantastic. The communication was especially spectacular - went over the entire thing day prior, morning of, then reviewed meds, potential problems, how the surgery went, etc both on the phone before pickup and then again at pickup. Everyone has treated her so nicely when we've gone, and they go over everything so there is no confusion later.
