I have never felt more welcome inside of a BofA that I did today when I visited this branch. Each individual was so nice and welcoming, even friendly. I have been to my fair share of banks in person, and most employees are acting miserable in life, or just flat out not concerned about you as a client, but this branch is the complete opposite. I also love how the branch manager sits in the lobby and greets clients as well! She doesn’t hide behind a door! Beth was great with my account maintenance process as well! Thank you all!
Teller with the brown curly hair & glasses… Melissa, I think. How rude can you be? I say “Hi how are you” before handing her my deposit and she just sticks her hand out and stares at me. I say “hows your day going?” Ignored again. I’ll never give up… she hands me my slip & I say “ have a good day!” So loud you’d have been startled standing next to me… ignored again and she even rolled her eyes?!?!!! I’m a teller too, and she really blew me away with her attitude. No one like that should be customer facing EVER. She makes it seem like I’m inconveniencing her by speaking to her.
Had to open a new account – they said my debit card would still work. I even asked if I should test it at the ATM and they said that wasn’t necessary then I got stranded with no money
I came in to deposit a good bit of cash that I didn’t feel comfortable going to the ATM to do. Melissa was working with me but had a attitude and made several unnecessary smart comments. Not sure why she was being so rude. Apparently she wants us to fill out a sheet when depositing cash before getting to the clerk. When she asked if I had it with me before I could even answer she was like “nope you don’t? Great”. She was also rude about me not knowing how much cash I was giving her, it was hundreds of ones which i’m not going to count. Melissa said “You don’t know how much this is? You didn’t count?” She’s going to use the machine that counts my cash anyways why does it matter? She made me feel as if I were waisting her time when it’s literally her job and it a quick transaction. Not to mention there wasn’t even a line behind me or anything.
The negative reviews have been quite kind compared to the problems this branch conveys. I would not call them under staffed - rather mismanaged. I recently experienced the closing prior to posted hours, one teller to handle drive thru and lobby customers at 1.30. Two employees walking around and talking to one another instead of servicing customers, setting appointments for customers who were standing in line to come back to discuss account issues while two employees were available. This branch has NO customer service values! Plenty of other banks in Boone. I suggest you visit another and take your business there. I reported to corporate and hope they take the necessary steps to help the existing customers here.
Very friendly people. We got right in with a personal banker who answered all our questions and helped very much.
Worst bank I have ever had the displeasure to work with! Also, people, be aware that if you have family members on a fixed budget with SS or disability payments, BOA takes money from them! Get out while you can!
I was going through the worst time of my life and the kind people at this branch were beyond compassionate, patient, and understanding. They helped me with my banking issue, but also restored my faith in people! They genuinely care about their customers and it shows.
Despite the negative reviews that were left a while ago, I have never had an issue with waiting at this location. My maximum wait has been around 10 minutes, with most of the time no waiting at all. The staff is bright, positive, and fun to talk to. All the managers I've dealt with have been really good people. For me personally, this branch has been one of the best banking experiences.
I have been banking with Bank of America since I was in high school around 2005. I'm quite loyal to the organization, as I've never had any issues at their corporate level. Unfortunately, quality control and consistency lacks when it comes to your customer service experiences across various locations. Some are remarkable. Some are not. The Boone location is undoubtedly in the latter camp. I had scheduled a week in advance an appointment with a relationship banker to review/discuss my account and examine options for upgrading some things. He was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and I enjoyed my time talking with him. Unfortunately, the location seemed exceptionally busy or understaffed. My appointment started a bit late, which was certainly not an issue. However--ten minutes into actually talking with my relationship banker, one of his peers rudely stuck her head into his office and "reminded" him that someone else was in the lobby waiting to see him. First of all, I cannot help but point out how unprofessional that is. I had not been meeting with this banker for more than ten minutes. Is my time not valuable? I was appalled that she would do this and apply any sort of pressure to him in front of a customer/client sitting there reviewing their account. Not to mention that this applies pressure to me, the customer. It not only made me feel like my time and needs weren't valuable, but that I needed to hurry. I did not feel comfortable asking questions and seeking more options. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe this choice that this particular woman made. My second issue with the situation is that even if there was a sense of urgency in needing to get clients in and out, she should have been capable of considering more discreet options. For example, why not call your peer's office phone and just give him a friendly reminder like, "Hey, we've got 15 minutes until close, and someone just came in to see you." Overall, I greatly appreciate the limited, hurried time that I was able to spend speaking with my particular relationship banker. He was wonderful, and I would most definitely call to speak with him again about financial matters. However, I will be hard pressed to ever step physical foot in this Bank of America location again. This was among the worst experiences I've had at any BoA location, and I was left unimpressed by his peer's inability to maintain a professional disposition that promotes client/customer satisfaction.
