Many of the early investors included members of the land company that founded the nearby town of Saratoga, as well as local businessmen. One of the most significant historic sites in Omaha, the Florence Bank was established and built in 1856, this is the oldest bank building standing in Nebraska today. Its red brick and detailed interior have been lovingly maintained, and it offers a great glimpse into history. Highly recommended.
