I lived here for about 2 years. Did not have any problems with Bankier. They had good communication, and fixed any issues quickly.
I leased one of their single bedroom apartments starting the Summer of 2016 and was a tenant with them for the remainder of my PhD program. Ashley was super helpful when drafting the first lease and working with me online since I was still in Austin, TX at the time. I had zero issues during move in, everything went smoothly. The apartments are well maintained, and they are constantly upgrading them. During my time there I got new appliance upgrades every couple of years which was a nice plus. Maintenance responds very quickly, and any issue I had even minor ones were usually taken care of the same day. These are some of the reasons why I stuck with them during my time in Champaign as a graduate student. Would highly recommend them.
I have been a tenant of Bankier three times. Two as a residential tenant, and once as a commercial tenant. Both times I have been highly satisfied. Every maintenance issue I have had has been handled quickly and effectively. I find the management to be very fair too. They are reasonable people, and are genuinely interested interested in having happy tenants and retaining them. Recently a contractor broke a water pipe in our building which caused substantial damage to our business. Bankier went above and beyond and made an apartment available to us that day in the same building. We were able to continue to operate our business while repairs were being made and did not have to turn away any business. If that isn't top notch customer service I don't know what is! I would highly advise anyone who has a problem to actually call in and talk to someone. I think you will find that your experience will be the same as mine has been. Being reasonable and friendly goes a long way these day. :
I’ve lived with Bankier for 2 years and just signed for my 3rd year. Everyone there is so nice and so helpful! The maintenance is always quick and gets the job done the first time! Their apartments are well taken care of and you can tell they really care about their tenants. Can’t imagine signing with anyone else!
I have had the pleasure of leasing with Bankier Apartments for over 3 years. The staff here is AMAZING and they go above and beyond in assisting their customers. I have had a great experience living with them. When there was a minor issue, they went above and beyond to resolve it. My building was always kept clean inside and out. The landscaping was always well maintained and the maintenance staff were quick in making repairs. I highly recommend them to students or anyone searching for a place to live in Champaign-Urbana.
Their office is on the heart of Green Street on campus. Their parking is towards the side and back of their office, and also at the very back for businesses. They just "painted" most of the walls in the back parking lot and made it look like an attraction for criminals. It looks like Chicago's railway yard where it's trains have been spray-painted to appeal to criminals and homeless this is not against the homeless. It looks ugly, disoriented and a mess: it should look professional, clean and professionally appealing so those who have to park and walk back some of us live there or have friends who live there and have to use that parking lot area there feel safe feeling safe is better than feeling unsafe. This is not left for opinion, it is reasonable, wise, mature, educated and true that those who have to park back there should feel it's not guaranteed but feeling safe is better than not safe. What an ugly place they made it with the graffiti.
Lived at 202 E Green for 1.5 years and can't find a single bad thing to say about Bankier. Always responded to maintenance requests within the day, very reasonably priced for the newly renovated units, and the staff was personable and easy to work with. Lived with 3 different leasing companies during my time in Champaign, and Bankier was by far the best!
