One Friday afternoon, within minutes of arriving in New Orleans we were in an accident. After calling more than 20 places unwilling to even look at the car we end up at Tommie’s. Not only was he kind and capable, but we were highway worthy again within a few hours. While I hope we never need his help again, I wish I knew someone just like him where I live.
Always packed but has fit me in day-of every time. Fast and courteous service, and repairs get the job done right at a fair price. Very happy and will continue to bring my car here.
WARNING. Basically, avoid using ‘em at all cost. Tommy the owner refused to make anything right after given a chance in person, so here we go… I paid them for 2 new Westlake tires. Got quoted $106 per tire for those or $146 per tire for Sumitomo’s They removed all 4 tires from my vehicle and installed the 2 new Westlake tires + put 2 old ones on my vehicle Hercules dated from 2018 Why would they do that extra work? I purchased 2 new Sumitomo tires from NTB in May/June, and Banks Service Station sells used tires. Not to mention it took them 3 hours to change the tires, lost my keys after trying to tell me I had them they were in Tommy the owners truck, and tried to only accept cash payment. Not until I mention I was from the neighborhood that Tommy relented to accept a card. Once I mentioned I was missing the new Sumitomo tires, Tommy suggested he didn’t know what brand I was talking about. Once I reminded him he quoted me for that brand as well, Tommy insisted he doesn’t sell Sumitomo tires and neither does Delta Work Tires. Tommy at one point mentioned running the camera’s footage back, I agreed and shortly after he began to get defensive telling me to get off the property + he would not look at the cameras. I tried giving these dudes business, being local and all. Now I have spent $800 in tires this year and look like I’ll need to drop another $300-$400 from somewhere reputable.
This place is a scam. I told them I had a transmission fluid leak that was causing my engine to smoke. They diagnosed the problem as something else entirely and then charged me an exorbitant amount to fix it, which I was forced to agree to because I had been dumb enough to pay them a large deposit to take the engine apart and look at it. A week later, after the problem had been “fixed”, the power steering leak finally caused my alternator to burn up. They quoted me insane prices on various parts 5x the MSRP to justify the price. When I called back because my engine started smoking again, I was told “it’s probably just water.” When I was replacing the alternator, I also noticed that various things had been broken inside in the process of the repair. They are nice, charismatic guys, but they’ll screw you over if they think you’re not savvy enough to be able to tell. Steer clear.
Quick service and very reasonable prices!! Super friendly as well
Avoid at all costs for major repairs. I’m glad to see others have had good service but this was NOT our experience. Paid 4K cash for a major service, only to have brand new issues arise in the days and weeks following. They gave us a hard time for doing subsequent repairs, and eventually stopped returning our calls when we asked for a price of what it would cost to get it done. From my perspective, they got a decent chunk of money for the first job and couldn’t be bothered to laboriously go over work they already did. They were done with us, and we were left with a non-running vehicle we had to donate after trying to work with them. Live and learn.
DO NOT GO HERE. I feel robbed they way over charged me to “fix” my side mirror and left me with a hole in my door and a mismatched mirror. The work is lazy and sloppy and I’m mad at myself for not demanding my money back. They will mess up your car and rob you with a smile on their face.Service: Body & Trim
Scam artist at their finest, went in to get an estimate and was told not only was it going to cost $500/600 for a simple repair but that I wasn't going to be able to drive my car until they fixed it. Long story short I got the hell out of there and was able to get my car fixed for hundreds of dollars less than their estimate. Moral of the story is do your research folks so you won't fall victim to shady mechanics.
This man scam me out my money in play like he fix your car just to found out two days later the problem was never fixed this man keep messing over good people for money like this not cool at all I'm very upset
Friendly service, fair price, good work and finished the work very quickly. They were one of the few places open on a Saturday, and one of the better experiences I’ve had with a mechanic.
