The campground is pretty big. Alot of the sites are too narrow. We had water pressure issues at our lot. A lot of the sites are trees. For the kids there is a playground. A pool would be nice as there is no swimming around. There is a store , bar and grill across the street . They do have a pavilion with 2 family bathrooms that are nice. I did use another bathroom in the back where we stayed. They have a double sewer dump which is helpful.
Went there with my family and dogs. The walking trails were not there. I had site #212, you share a short maybe 15 foot long drive with another site, and they were both so small there wouldn't be room for the campers and trucks. Thankfully that spot wasn't filled when I was there. If you want to do any walking besides on the park roads you have to go to the state park about a half a mile away. Yes they have full hookups. Have stuff throughout the park for kids. The washer and dryers are old and sound like hell but do work, unless you go out during the day and want to do laundry during quiet hours when the building is locked up. A lot of seasonal campers witch personally drive me nuts with the tall grass all over. Is this a camp ground or trailer park. We left a day early and will not be back.
Such a nice quiet place. Lots of shade. Tim was extremely nice, and easy going. Perfect place if you want to go visit the State Park near by! We will definitely be back again!
A place to be avoided. I stayed here for one night because it was at a convenient point along my trip. Booked a “Premium full hook up site” online, and was allowed to pick a site. Then they wanted an additional $10 to guarantee the site, which I declined. Check in is at 3 PM with a $10 charge for being early, which is a much later check in time than is customary. It was a Monday and the office is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The sign said to not enter without a car pass but there was no one there to issue said pass. Found my site and as I was setting up realized there was no water on the site. Observed that the permanent trailer in the next site also had no water faucet and had a double length of hose stretched to an empty site. Fortunately I have some extra hose and was able to connect with a couple of inches to spare. It appears that most of the sites are permanents or seasonals and I saw very few people around on a Monday. The bathhouse is old, dirty, lacks toilet paper, has standing water on the floor, and smells of mold. Ran the water for several minutes to discover there is no hot water. There is a constant drone of noise from I-35. Only stay here if there is no other choice. After doing 200+ reviews this is the most negative I’ve every written.
We enjoyed our stay. The sites are nice and big. It was a quiet campground. They are working to make improvements to it as well. We will definitely be back for another stay.
Great campground. They have been open 4 years I think. Each year the owner is making upgrades. This is the 4th year we have been here with a seasonal site. Have made some great friendships. We can ride our wheelers right out of the campground and ride the shoulder up to Rutledge and can then spend the day on the trails. Really glad we moved our camper. Give it a try.
Nice campground in a great location just over the bridge from Banning state park. There are playgrounds for the kids, a new basketball court, a game shack with various lawn bags, cornhole etc.. also a very nice little dog park that was quite popular with all the furry friends! Clean bathrooms and showers. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. There are a few little cabins for rent as well that looked very cute and cozy. We enjoyed walking around the campground and the little walking trail. We stayed on a weekend and they seemed pretty full but even so it was a nice quiet campground. The staff was very nice to help us inflate our kayak as we had forgot our air pump. We definitely look forward to another stay in the the future!
First RV park we've ever stayed at so I have nothing to compare to but sites are pretty good size, family bathrooms were newer and clean, had a decent playground for the kids and a few other amenities. Lots of guests utilized the dog park which looked really nice. DO NOT recommend staying in the camper cabins. Literally just bunk beds in a shed. Staples and random nails sticking up from the floor and no mattresses included. The wood for sale on site was just pathetic, you'd probably call it kindling. Overall a few upgrades and this place could be very nice.
Beautiful campground, very well laid out and peaceful. Very community feel to it.
Nicely kept campground with very friendly staff. If we are ever back in the area, we will book here. Thanks Tim!
