From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang out, get great drinks, scratch food, awesome music, and the best service was something special. We create every Bar Louie with all of that in mind. It might not seem like an easy task, but we want to make sure you have a great time, any time you decide to come in. We could make it easier on ourselves, but we live for the quality and uniqueness of what we create. From our handcrafted everything bar, to our scratch everything kitchen, it's in our DNA to be the best. We're at our best when you're having a great time. It may not be normal and it certainly isn't ordinary, but we believe you deserve more than ordinary. If you're not a regular yet... You will be.

I really like this location. The staff here is very friendly. Everyone that helped us had a smile on their face and great conversation. We sat at the bar, but the rest of the restaurant looked nice and open. The food and drinks were so good! We all had trouble figuring out what we wanted. But, we all ended up satisfied. Can't wait to go back.
The flatbread pizza had lemon on it. Really small cut up pieces. It was just a really odd taste on a pizza. I would not order it again. Everything else was nice. Good selection and great customer service.Food: 4/5
Sangria is so refreshing, chips are crispy, and the trio of dips left nothing out! Serving drinks our short haired knockout gave us smiles and good advice. A brief working lunch, girls out shopping, or ladies sharing lifestyle ideas; this is a hot spot! Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices here!
Third time at Bar Louie. First time good, second time just ok, third time, disaster! Open seating which is fine, but they really need to post a sign so people don't stand there waiting for sometimes 3 minutes before someone says something. There was a waitress that after we were seated for 5 minutes said, I'm not your waitress, but I can get your drinks. That was nice, 2 iced teas and a Shirley Temple came about 5 minutes later. Our waitress was at another table supposedly "closing out" a bill, Finally came to our table after 15 minutes. We order, we get the food 20 minutes later. My daughter ordered avocado toast with an egg over medium. When it came out, ice cold, egg done over well. She sent it back, but decided she didn't want to have anything because it would probably take another 20 minutes. My salad was fine, my grandson's boneless chicken wings, about 10 pieces, no fries or anything with it, was $15.00. By the way, not busy at all, it was a Monday at lunch time. As we looked up at some of the decor, noticed tons of dead flies and moths in the lights hanging above our table. Won't be going back, ever. Need to step it up Bar Louie!!
Servers pressured to get reviews, and manipulative tactics to reach their goal? There's nothing authentic about that. I'm all for businesses that encourage customers to leave a review... but the manager of this location apparently REQUIRES them of their servers. I was told she couldn't leave until she had five, which was either entirely made up by the server to accomplish a goal or reach an incentive from management, or the truth but reflecting management who puts a ridiculous amount of pressure on their servers to obtain reviews. Neither reason is good. It didn't feel genuine at all, it felt manipulative. Nice people helping out a server begging for a review simply isn't an authentic reflection of how they felt about the restaurant. If you left a review due to pressure from a server, and you weren't sure you would have left one otherwise, consider taking it down. That being said, here is my review of the actual restaurant, bad review practices aside. Nice server who checked in often, good cocktail at a good price, ridiculously poor acoustics deafening. I didn't try the food, although my companion did and it looked great. I am not a fan of restaurants that deliberately leave off the 15% tip option on their payment devices, pushing for 18-20%. Most people won't take time to manually calculate a 15% tip, and restaurants count on this. Everyone is asked to over-tip almost everywhere we go now, and it's a huge pet peeve of mine. It also feels manipulative. A tip is intended to reward good service, not be an expectation. Nay, a demand.
Was told to sit wherever we liked when we got there. Sat at a table outside where there were 4 or 5 other tables with people sitting at. It took almost 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. 1 server who ended up not being ours walked by 5 or 6 times, but never said anything. After finally getting a server to acknowledge us, we ordered our drinks and food. Drinks came fast, and food came at an expected speed. Food was set down quickly on the table, and the server was gone before we even had a chance to tell her the order was wrong. I got tater tots instead of fries. Not a huge deal, but after taking a bite of my sandwich which was delicious and getting juice from the chicken on my face, I realized we were never given silverware or napkins. We then waited another 15-20 minutes for our server to come back to tell tell her about the mistake with the fries, ask for silverware, and get a drink refill. While waiting for those things to be taken care of, it started raining. It was then that we realized the patio wasn't covered. It just had rafter type boards for lights and fans to hang from, but was open to the sky. At that point, we decided to pay and leave. We went inside, found our server, and paid our check. No apologies were given or offers for anything to make up for the poor experience.
Would not recommend eating here. Walked in there wasn't a sign to wait for seating or seat yourself. After waiting 3 mins and the staff noticing us we grabbed a table. Waited another five minutes for someone to come over to us, but they all went to tables that came in after we sat down. Went to the bar to get someone, said they will send someone over to us. Someone did come over threw menus at us and walked away saying someone else would be there. So ten minutes in and we don't have any drinks or even know when someone will actually come over. So we walked out. Normally we eat at this chain in other states, this place is a great disappointment compared to others
Listen! I would’ve never left a review till the server got mad cause he asked for an honest opinion. We waited 10 minutes before being greeted. I order another drink and he never put my drink order in 10-15 mins went by. Then acted like he did me a favor cause the manager was notified of our dissatisfaction of the food. Let this be a learning lesson for you. That attitude is why I don’t feel bad today for leaving a thumbs down.
Kat made the atmosphere feel incredible. The food we received was amazing and she made my husband and I feel very welcome being that we are from out of town. We will be back to see her again soon next time we travel through!Food: 5/5
