Bar nine!! What can I say but what a random find!! We were road tripping through PA when I found this spot!! Food was really good, the pretzel wasn’t great but the tacos and poutine was tasty!! The service was also incredible Abby is a top girl!!
Loved the vibe, food, and drinks! Service was excellent as well! Just took a little longer than expected.
Weird experience. Was told we couldn't come in without a reservation, we asked about sitting at the bar and was told "I guess of you want". So we did. The place didn't appear busy, around 18 customers with at least 4 servers 1 hostess. It took a bit to put in an order, drinks came out fast perks of sitting at the bar but the food took a long time. Another table who ordered after us must have ordered the same exact food since theirs came out first... It took another 15min after that for our food to arrive. Food was OK, Mediterranean flatbread could have used arugala. French dip sandwich was tasty. Unfortunately, our drinks ran bare and we were waiting to cash out for over 30min. There were 2 young servers behind the bar giving us weird looks but they were busy doing dishes... By the time we paid and left, we were 2 hours in to this adventure. Seems like this could be a decent place for a drink and some bar food. But I suggest waiting for a less busy time to visit.
This was a mixed review for our family. My husband ordered the Beef Short Rib Poutine and absolutely loved it. My son got the Fish and Chips and was so-so on it. He said the breading was very hot/spicy, which we weren't expecting for breaded fish. I ordered the French Dip, which was okay, but I don't eat cheese, and when I ordered it without cheese they also didn't put any onions on it either, so it was just meat on bread. The onions would have made it better.
Leah was wonderful finding us a table on New Year and Sharon was amazing at recommending great food and drinks. Definitely worth regular visits. Edit: Next visit no so lovely. Appetizers were tough, rubbery and went mostly untouched. The glasses smelled like chlorine. Our bar tender said she was new and could only pour beer so I waited 20 minutes for a cocktail that was just ok. Not worth the money.
I placed a Grubhub order a couple days ago and this was canceled after an hour of waiting without any explanation. I did order again tonight via GrubHub and the driver actually contacted me personally to tell me that your staff were extremely unprofessional and that they do not take GrubHub orders. I do not feel that they would be on the GrubHub list unless your establishment had applied for such status. I did call the restaurant personally to establish what the problem was and the person that answered the phone actually used derogatory comments toward me. I subsequently have filed a complaint with GrubHub and also with the Better Business Bureau and I would like an answer as to what is going on. I do not remember the name of the person I contacted at your establishment but she did tell me that her status was a manager whether this was true or not but this is after refusing to speak with me on my initial call. I paid $75 to order from your restaurant so I do not feel that a call was unwarranted or inappropriate on my part especially after your restaurant has been unprofessional on multiple occasions.
Pretty good food, neat atmosphere, hit-or-miss service and limited parking though. We've been to Bar Nine a couple of times. The food is quite good - good appetizers, chicken tacos with an awesome ranch sauce, and burgers. My wife did have the tuna recently and didn't care for the seasoning though. The bacon & brussel sprout appetizer is especially good. The atmosphere is nice. It's small and intimate. The indoor bar area has a warm, rustic feel that carries to the outdoor area - which is partitioned from the parking lot with industrial-looking rustic metallic walls that give it a cool vibe. On the negative side, we had terrible service on our last visit 8/8/2018. We sat in the indoor bar area at a table that was serviced by the bar staff. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and there were 3 bartenders on duty, which seemed to be plenty for the workload. However, our waitress was miserable and non-attentive. We waited so long for our check that my wife ended up leaving before me. The waitress gave us bad attitude throughout the meal. That being said, I don't believe this represents a typical experience at Bar Nine and we will go back to give it another chance. I consider this bar to be one of the nicer modern enhancements to the Greensburg area and I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu. Be aware that parking is rather limited here, with less than 25 or so spots - one of which is handicap. And the lot itself is very narrow. So if you have 2 vehicles, bring the smaller one.
Very loud on a Saturday night. More a place for a younger crowd. We are in our 70's. Food okay but nothing to write home about...we had sandwiches.Food: 2/5
The staff is amazing, very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. I had the crab cakes and Mac and cheese with a strawberry pineapple martini and the sweet potato cheesecake for desert so good!. It had a loud atmosphere and a decent amount of space inside. I definitely recommend.
They’re always extremely busy on the weekends but still manage to give great service and serve excellent food. The menu is reasonably priced and the portions are huge. The patio is amazing during the summer! One of our favorite places for dinner and drinks!
