Barbwire Farms is a small, family-run farm located in Wilsonville, AL. We offer fresh chicken eggs, duck eggs, and pasture-raised USDA inspected beef for sale. We are also beginning to raise registered Texas Longhorn cattle.
My wife and I decided to return to our roots and pursue a more country-oriented way of life. After I grew up on a cattle ranch in Florida and she grew up in the Alabama countryside, we made a decision to leave our townhouse in the suburbs of Birmingham, AL to purchase this small 20-acre farm in Wilsonville, AL. We both still work full time in downtown Birmingham, but somehow find time to add in the farm life! Since purchasing the farm two years ago, we have added chickens, ducks and cattle. We have also planted 60+ fruit and nut trees and a grape vineyard. We are able to offer for sale fresh chicken eggs, duck eggs, and beef to the public. In the future we hope to add fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts.
