My mom has lived in the townhouses for a very long time. These used to be very nice place nice place to live. Now they are going down hill at very fast pace. Windows are very drafty, signs in the parking lots say absolutely no dogs. Now because people use dogs for anxiety, they are allowed. Dog poo is all over the yards and even the smell is very strong walking to your door. Snow isn't plowed from sidewalks. Emergency responders wouldn't be able to easily access an apartment if needed. Every repair is drawn out for days. Blamed on shortage of workers. Their are plenty of businesses that could help with repairs, instead they let these paying renters go without for days/weeks. So sad! I would NOT recommend living here! Turning into slum lords.
I was having issues with my stove and reported it and it was replaced with a brand new one within a few days. Maintenance was very polite and finished in a short time. I like living in Barclay apartments everyone is nice and problems are taken care of quickly
Just moved from one townhouse to another because the original home smelt heavily of cigarette smoke I do not smoke. Spent the whole weekend moving in and the place is a mess! One of the toilets is broken. The basement smells heavily of cat urine. The sink/drain in the kitchen smells DISGUSTING! My pregnant wife had to go through and deep clean the whole place before we could even fully move in. Rusted drains and shower is chipped and disgustingly dirty. Dead bugs all over. Dirt coming from the kitchen faucet. I am so angry and upset with the management team. I forgot to tell you the windows are TERRIBLE but instead of replacing the windows the office was remodeled and it is beautiful. To me this really reflects poorly on management because they clearly do not care about their residents as much as they do themselves. As soon as we have enough money saved we are purchasing a home and telling everyone to avoid this place like the plague.
I applied for an apartment here, and they needed employment verification. Okay that’s fine. I give them my pay stubs I receive from my job. Those aren’t “official” enough for them because I work for a small business, not a corporation like most people do. I ask them what else can I use to prove my income? Then they play stupid and won’t tell me, even though I’ve asked other professionals what I can use and I’m told I can use my W-2, etc to prove my income as well. So I ask my boss and she has her accountant go to Barclay to give them all of my PERSONAL info, my offer letter from work, my W-2, W-3, all of my pay stubs they’ve made for me. I get paid through Zelle, not through a regular check, so and they tell her accountant “Well anyone could have made these up.” And refused to accept my documents and then ASKED HER ACCOUNTANT TO LEAVE because he was trying to help me get this apartment. I can’t believe someone can be so rude and unprofessional. On top of that, they won’t “accept” my place of employment, and now they won’t refund my $50 application fee I already paid. RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I would give less stars if possible. Overall the location is nice and the townhomes are decent. What's not even the slightest bit decent is the manager and the maintenance team. My townhouse has smelled like stale cigarette smoke since I moved in. I have REPEATEDLY complained to the office about the issue and I CONTINUE to get brushed off or ignored. I am pregnant and breathing in stale cigarette smoke and I'm not even a smoker! Now, it has been a month since I last complained and still NO RESPONSE! I have told everyone I know not to ever even consider this place. It's just not worth it.
Really Quiet a Feeling of PEACE Happy For My Mom .. to have such a nice place to live...
The application and move in process was very easy. I love my townhouse and it seems like a safe and friendly community.
