Found this place out of the blue. Stopped in for a birthday BBQ lunch. We were NOT disappointed! The ribs tender and just the right amount of smokey. Amazing flavor! The service was beyond friendly. Everyone there seemed happy to be there and happy to chat with all of the customers. The prices are more than fair for the quantity and quality of food. You couldn't eat this well at any chain place for this price. We will DEFINITELY be back if/when in the Kingsport area again. I would HIGHLY recommend Bare Bones BBQ.
We stopped in today going miles out of our way to try the bbq and we’re so glad we did. My husband had the brisket and ribs, he liked it so much, he ordered a pound of brisket to go. My son had the burger and did the same, ordered another to go. I had the chicken and pork and it is delicious too! The sides were good and we plan to go again when going back to TN. The waitress/cashier was helpful with a great too. Oh, and there wasn’t a bite left of the hot fudge cake!
This place is AMAZING! The service was phenomenal, the food came out super fast, and it is THE BEST southern comfort BBQ in Kingsport! And the dessert was just divine! My family loves to eat out, and we've tried just about every BBQ place around here. We just now found this little place last week, and we went back 2 days later, and I ordered the exact same meal... it's THAT good! 10/10 would recommend!!
Not a fair review didn't try BBQ I've had the Burger twice. Excellent food. Do Not like the fact they give you a bag of chips with a Fresh Hamburger but.... Other then that inside a bit tight, helpful people service is great.Food: 4/5
So disappointed in the food my favorite food is bbq so I was excited to eat here we came in on a Saturday. And we was the only ones there I got the BBQ and chicken platter and the food wasn't hot what so ever I know pulled pork is some pink but it was mostly pink even the chicken had alot of pink. And to top that off I looked at my drink it had black specs of something floating in it after I noticed that we just left.
Chicken and dumplings on Tuesdays, really good. But you've got to try the banana pudding. Very good.Food: 5/5
They only have ribs and brisket on Friday and Saturday. So, all 3 of us ordered the pulled pork platter. One looked like finely chopped pork, 2 looked like chunks of pork. Odd, but ok. The pork had a mediocre flavor, a bit dry. The sauces: nothing unique, and some watered down. We tried all 4 sides: beans, Mac n cheese, potato salad and coleslaw. Sadly, they all tasted like they were from a bulk can. The room temperature Country Time lemonade was ok once the ice was stirred around for awhile. The service was fast. They have plenty of awards on the walls, so maybe we just went on an off night. But, I’m still confused why the same pork could look so different on different plates.
Fantastic BBQ! A must try is the BBQ Nachos, chicken or pork, unbelievably addictive! The chicken nachos were so good I went back the next night to try the pork, both great but I liked the chicken best. Memphis is their House Special BBQ Sauce and it's heavenly!
We had a Great experience here. The gentleman sorry we forgot your name working the counter took his time with us and explained the menu ...and told us how good the desserts were...we would recommend them to anyone...
Great food every time. Great service, cozy homelike atmosphere. Love the banana pudding and any of Cookies Deserts of the day are fantastic!Food: 5/5
