Since 1974, this nonprofit educational institution has been dedicated to the history of firefighting in New England and specifically, Hingham.

Impressum

An all volunteer group will open the museum by appointment for groups of Scouts, School Children, and all Adults. Please call and schedule at least a week or more in advance to make arrangements. Visiting firefighters a preference.

Very fun but small. Great to see the old iron that kept people safe. Staff very naligable.
The Boston Amateur Radio club has done Field Day from the museum.
They put on on great tours fors kids. You will have to call ahead though to make plans in advanced. It also a great source of information for local fire history. It is a group if volunteers so if you want some if their time and resources they ask for a donation.
Nice little museum. A fun time at their open house exploring what fire fighting was like in the past
The building is a little cold this time of year but the antique fire trucks are beautiful and the people are very friendly.
Do try to check out this gem.
Great way to learn about the histories of fire fighting.
