So a councilman, an Italian Ice guy and a film producer walk into an office…
…and we end up figuring out that this town could use another Real Estate Agency. And we’re just the trio to do it!
When Kim Surowicz, Mike Corbally and Doug Bollinger started working together, they had some prior connections, but none as significant as the business partnership they would cultivate while matching potential renters with properties in Point Pleasant Beach. After a few years working for another Agency, the threesome decided to dive into the world of Real Estate, head first, without shoes! And they started Barefoot Real Estate.
Kim has built a film production resume that includes The Departed, The Interpreter, Fighting and many more. Kim’s family has owned a house in town for since 1979. After Sandy flooded the house, Kim oversaw the construction of the new home. She’s been a happy resident of Point Pleasant Beach ever since.
Mike has been a successful business owner and PPB councilman. He has raised his 2 daughters here and is often being walked around town by Eli.
Doug grew up in Long Branch and has worked in education and film production for over 20 years. You may recognize him from Strollo’s Lighthouse Italian Ice, which he owned/operated for over a decade.
Kim, Mike & Doug also own and operate Shore Riders Bike Rentals and their license plates can be seen all over the Jersey Shore each summer.
Mary Fahey-Dorrer was born and raised in Point Pleasant Borough. She has lived in Wall with her husband and 2 children since 1996. Her family has owned and operated Dorrer’s garage since 1954. If you live in the area or know someone who does, chances are you’ve come across a “Fahey” or a “Dorrer”.
Brendan is a true Jersey Boy. He grew up in Bay Head and now resides in Tinton Falls with his wife and two children. He has experience in construction and government and was first licensed in real estate in 1984. He has been a fireman since 1987.
The backgrounds are diverse but the attitudes we share are what Barefoot is built on. We believe that professional service, work ethic and having fun are traits that absolutely can, and will, coexist. We have loved every minute of our adventures in real estate!
