Horrible customer service. Actually zero customer service I recently relocated to NAC and was interested in a couple of their properties, so I inquired and submitted an application. After two business days of zero communication, I then went to their office in person, and spoke with Tessa, whom said that my offer letter was not valid to note the offer letter was from the VP and the company with official letterhead and HR number with my new salary. Whether it was valid or not, I had to personally go up to the office to figure that out after correcting that issue on the spot, she still would not give me any information as far as what our application status was after working with them for two business weeks. We finally got a response back about approval. So all in all I do not recommend this company unless it is your last resort.
My fiance and I were in a situation where we needed to find a rental quickly! Barham Properties came through for us! We couldn't be more happy with the continued customer service, the speedy maintenance crew, and the house we are in! Thank you Barham Properties for helping us out in our time of need!
Krista at Barham properties is wonderful. She was super professional. I was really stressed when it came to moving and this was such an easy process. I love being able to make payments on the app and do business with ease.
I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Three friends & I rented a house through Barham from June 2019 - May 2020 & we had nothing but problems with them from the beginning. Within the first week of us moving in the house in August, the AC went out on us and although they replaced it, it took them 3 days so we had to live in a house without AC in the middle of the Texas summer heat. Throughout the year we had small problems with the house like multiple outlets that wouldn’t work, a fridge that leaked, etc. & we put in around a total of 5 work orders to get things fixed & not once did they come out & fix a single thing. Then to top it all off, we came back to our house in May after being gone for a couple weeks just to find out that our house had been broken into. It was not a forced break in & Barham had showed our house to potential new tenants several times while we were gone so we thought that it was their negligence in not locking all the doors after showing the house. After talking to neighbors, we found out the day of the break in & it happened to be the evening of one of the days that Barham had showed the house. The neighbor said that the intruder had just simply walked into the house; therefore, confirming our thinking that it was Barham’s negligence of leaving the doors unlocked that lead to the break in. Over $3,000 worth of valuables were stolen & all Barham offered to do was “wave any damages that were caused from the break in.” We had also found out from the neighbor that she had seen that house get broken into every year there is a new tenant which was a complete shock to use considering that Barham told us that there had been no issues with that house or neighborhood when we first toured the house. Lastly, when we moved out, we were charged $128 to clean the stove, some stuff on the shelves of the fridge, & a dusty door & replace an AC filter. So I think it is completely absurd to fine $128 for about 30 min of cleaning. All in all, I would never in a million years refer this company to anyone. They are just a money hungry company that will do anything to get more money & scamming college kids out of money.
I've had several issues. I will start with when you make a maintenance request. They take forever to come. Im still waiting now for over 2 months on one. Going on 3 weeks I've had a steady leak in both bathrooms. The washer drain has been leaking under the carport over 3 weeks also. They sent in electricians to do work because the house was not in code. Something that should have been done before I moved in. They damaged my bed and got paint on my blackout curtains. Still no response on that! Then I was told they would pay for the shut off and cut back on of electricity because their electricians requested it. I made sure they talked to light company and was assured they would credit my account immediately. 3 weeks later no credit. So I left the difference out of my rent and called. Tessa informed me she would call me back never heard from her and now they have applied a 60 dollar late fee to my account. Now im being told they need to wait until the bill comes! That's not what they originally told me. I do NOT recommend them. Everyone is polite. But all of this is getting old! Also they left a mess when they did the electrical work. Knowing if I left the house in a mess when I move there would be a cleaning fee.
