Barletta Heavy Division is the contractor for the 6/10 Interchange project going on in Providence, RI. Due to to their unsafe construction zones, my car sustained a bubble on the sidewall of the driver's side tire caused by a crater-sized pothole. I hit the pothole in their construction zone on route 10 in Providence. My car bottomed out in the pothole, I heard a loud bang when it happened, and the tire had to replaced as a result of their negligence in allowing the public to drive on roadways that are not suitable to be driven on. I submitted a damage claim via my state's DOT, who then forwarded it to this contractor, who is doing the construction, with all invoices, a picture, paperwork, and signatures that were required of me. I also provided a detailed description of the incident indicating that my tire was damaged as a direct result of this pothole. This contractor feels as though they can weasel their way out of taking responsibility for the damage to my car and not reimburse me the money for the tire like they should. The company sent me a letter stating that there isn't enough evidence that my car's tire was damaged due to their pothole. Clearly this company has no regard for people's personal property nor public safety in their work zones.
There is not a better engineering and construction company in New England, but we may be biased, because it is a family business.
Great service !
