Seen this orchard on the news. My wife and I made the 3 and half hour drive. We were very happy that we did. We were able to pick our own cherries, and what was really cool was that they were donating half the money from the sale towards humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The people working for the orchard were very friendly and a joy to talk to. It was truly a great time and I highly recommend this farm. Looking forward to coming back this fall to pick apples and peaches. Thank you.
This is the only orchard that I could find that sells organic and sustainable fruit. If you know Wisconsin, you'll know this is cherry time. I found this place on Google. Sadly missed the strawberry season, but they had tart and sweet cherries, raspberries, currents and blueberries. You can save some cash $6 a on a bucket if you pick your own. I took me about twenty minutes to pick a bucket full. I was amazed at the number of cherries on the tree I worked on. The woman who ran the place was very nice and talkative. My wife bailed on me and let me pick by myself. Ah, warm sunny day, fruit laden trees, bucket around my waist...doesn't get much better. Oh yeah, they will have apricots and peaches in August. There is a plethora of fruit orchards in Door County. I like this place for its variety and growing philosophies. Respect the earth and enjoy her bounty.
