Love this Barnes and Noble. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The store is clean and has a good atmosphere. Really bummed they're closing soon. I know I can get books on Amazon but I like being able to go in and look at books before purchasing.
Amazing selection of books! I love coming here to see what they offer and to study and to relax. This is the place I go to whenever I feel like buying a good book. I prefer coming here over going to Amazon becuase the personal experience that I experience when I am here in person. Hopefully this place. Never goes out of business.
I love bookstores and this one is in a fantastic location at the end of the 3rd St Promenade. I've never left empty handed and enjoy spending time browsing around upstairs. The kids selection isn't as good as the store at the Grove, but I love the location here at 3rd st.
I admit, I'm not a huge B and N fan. I was for years, but gave up my membership 2 years ago. Why pay for the privedge of a 'discount' when Amazon beats the price and delivers for free?? Nonetheless, I still sometimes shop a store. Today's experience was Terrible. 11 people in line with one cashier. ONE!! He finally called for help, and one more person strolled up after 5 minutes. As I made it to the original cashier, a third person joined the group. Ridiculous. 20 minutes plus to buy a book. This store is helping Amazon and others win the game!! Poor management. Poor staffing. Very poor attention to the customer. Back to Amazon for me!
Large selection. They even have music on vinyl and CDs. I like to browse the bargain section. Lots of good deals there especially on coffee-table books. They have a nice children section on the upper level.
I usually kill time here after work, so traffic can die down first before heading home. Located at the 3rd street promenade. There are parking structures that offer 90 minutes free right around the corner at the end of the block. This barnes and noble is 3 stories. The only reason i am not giving this place five stars is because they used to have chairs near the windows so you can read and also look at the promenade but now they have a line with chairs back to back on the 3rd floor.
It's a shame real books are not a thing anymore. I don't know how long this place will survive after the electronic revolution, but in the meantime this is a great place if you still like paper. It's HUGE. The staff is ok
It has always been an enjoyable experience shopping at B & N. There are endless supply of books on many subjects, also art supplies & other varied merchandise. The store is located in a perfect location--The beginning of The 3rd. Street Promenade, 3rd. & Wilshire Blvd. In Santa Monica, California.
This Barnes & Noble is three floors. There's a variety of goods from books, toys, and games. A third of the second floor was dedicated to toys/puzzles/games while there was a media center and children books.
If you join, they send coupons plus you save 10 % off your purchase. It's really worth it if you buy a lot of reading material and children's books and educational toys.
