Located in Washington County Vermont, the City of Barre is 4 square miles with a population of about 10,000. The BCFD is staffed with full-time personnel to provide 24/7/365 constant Fire & Emergency Medical Services to its citizens, workers, and visitors for an average yearly call volume of 3100. We operate out of a single Firehouse with 4 men assigned to each shift. Our apparatus includes 3 Engines, 1 Tower, and 3 Ambulances. Firefighters are called in during each incident to staff additional calls.
