Barrie Molson Centre

Description

The Barrie Molson Centre is a 4,195-seat multi-purpose arena in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. The Barrie Molson Centre, also known as the BMC, held its first ever OHL game on December 31, 1995 when the Barrie Colts hosted the Sudbury Wolves. It is home to the Barrie Colts ice hockey team and the former home of the Barrie Lakeshores MSL Lacrosse Team. The Colts played the first half of their inaugural season at the old Dunlop Arena while the BMC was under construction. The BMC was one of the first modern arenas built in the OHL and was the blueprint from which a lot of the newer arenas were modeled. There is a full concourse so you can walk all the way around the arena. In the west end the concourse goes through the Horsepower Grill (previously Casey's Restaurant). The BMC has a standard four-sided scoreboard and a scoreboard at the west end. There are time of day clocks and shot clocks at each end. The BMC added 4 video screens in the arena bowl for replays and to watch the game. The ice surface at the Barrie Molson Centre is regulation size of 200' by 85'.

This is the most fabulous arena that I've ever been to . Such a clean atmosphere. I used to live near Guelph and the Storm used to be my home team . Now I live near Barrie and the Colts are my new home team . Last night was the first time going to an amazing game for New Year's Eve . It was fantastic for the kids who got to tie their wee skates up and skate with the Colts . Amazing crowd the Colts fans are towards the best team ever. Yours truly , a brand new Colts fan , Cheers!
A pretty nice family outing the Christmas Arts and Crafts. Lots of different vendors and a large variety of different products. Something for almost everyone
Great time at sold out Barn Burner Charity game August 3rd - annual event with a lot of great current and former NHL a players supporting event.
Great venue to watch a hockey game or concert. No obstructed viewing. Easy building to navigate and find your seat. Lots of parking but be prepared for a wait to exit if you don't get out quickly.
At the Sadlon Center We watch the Barrie Colts but we do see the staff intermingle with the customers and the fan base. And from what I've seen, there's some of the most responsible staff I've seen yet the places you always clean. There's always somebody picking up her broom, mopping a floor and wiping stuff down. We have been here for many trade shows. Very organized.
Attended a hockey game Feb 11/23. Drove up from Hamilton. One major concern with the Arena ...lack of handrails to help descend the stairs! Very risky! I thought by now all public venues were to be "accessible " to all.
Lots of parking available No security checks, and finding your seats without help can be slightly tricky because of the signs
My family and I had a fun night out watching the Barrie Colts win in OT. Great experience! Highly recommend.
Saw the colts. Awesome game. First hockey game and we enjoyed it ! No inside drinks though meaning your timmies. Parking was a hassle the people directing it kept sending us the wrong ways. Other than that good vendors inside and was a good night
Lots of great vendors at the Christmas Show. It was difficult to navigate to the lower level. I used the stairs but many had to use the lift and there was a long lineup.
