The Barry School of Law Women Lawyer's Association (WLA) is the Barry University School of law chapter of FAWL (Florida Association of Women Lawyers). It was established in 2005 and was recognized by FAWL for "Outstanding Programming" in 2007.
WLA promotes the advancement of women in the legal profession. This organization provides networking opportinuties, pro bono events, a forum for exchanging ideas, and preparation for transition into the professional world.

The Association for Women Lawyers of Barry University School of Law is devoted to the following purposes:
To promote gender equality in the legal profession and the system of justice;
To recognize and encourage the contributions of women within the School of Law and the legal profession;
To ease the transition of students into the study of law and into the legal profession;
To enhance relations between the School of Law, the legal profession, and the community by providing opportunities for pro bono activities and for collaboration with members of the bench and bar.
