We had a great time there. We visited in October last week, 2022. People were very welcoming. They had several types of apples, pumpkin patch, corn maze, etc. Apple's taste is very good.
We had a great time! The weather was nice & we enjoyed walking from area to area. We picked McIntosh, Golden delicious & a few others. We also enjoyed fall treats from their bakery truck, along with apple cider for my husband. We'll definitely return!
Wonderful place that feels perfect for a day out. The pretzels are incredible and the apple picking is great. The prices are 1/4 of nearby places I'm looking at you apple holler and the staff are friendly. I love that even on a weekend afternoon on a fall day the place isn't packed and there's still plenty of space for you. It doesn't feel like they're trying to squeeze every penny out of ya but it's hard not to get a bunch of pretzels! I love their little beer garden it's basically just a little beer stand, nothing on tap, no wine, but overall lovely and I would definitely recommend the place as a whole.
Love the variety of apples they have. The Pipping kind is so huge!! 20oz for one apple! The kids really enjoyed going from row to row picking their favorite apples from the tree. The farm is very big so they allow you to drive from place to place. This makes it easier for families with little ones. Though if you wanted to walk, it is a very nice walk with beautiful scenery of apple trees laden with tons of fruits!!! I don’t know if they spray or use insecticides. That would be the only down side. We will definitely come back. I think the price is reasonable.
Barthel is great. You can pick your own fruits or just stop in for a quick pick-up in the shop. The shop has lots of fresh fruits that are in season. The bakery in the little trailer has some wonderful baked goods including the best apple cider donuts ever. There's a couple golden retrievers running around acting as greeters. I have also purchased many plants from the green house, and they always do well. The prices might be a little higher, but you get what you pay for here, and the people are great.
Barthel is a spacious farm with apple and pear trees as well as other fruits and vegetables. Went in late September where they had only the Macintosh apple and plum for picking. Other trees such as pear and other apples were not ready. So ideally come early or end October where you can pick pear, apples and plums. Apples are $15 per small bag which can fit 30 plus or more apples. The bigger bag at $25 can probably fit 50-60 apples. The whole experience was great! We roamed around the farm and saw other kinds of apple and giant pumpkins!
A family friendly and well maintained farm. Very reasonable prices for Apple picking. Lots of variety of apples. Many gourds and pumpkins available.
Awesome place. Bakery had lots of very good treats and the apple cider is great. Owners were very nice and got us to the right place for the kind of apples we were looking for. Even had a beer garden to sit back, relax and let the kids run around the corn maze. Will definitely go back.
Loved our experience!! The prices were fair for the apples, and they had a cute little food truck for some yummy drinks and treats. The food and drink prices were so cheap, I was shocked!! We left with a bag full of Honeycrisps, pumpkin cookies, and an apple cider slush. Would highly recommend!!
Best farm, hands down!!! The experience was wonderful!! The staff were helpful and friendly. One of the “field” employees explained where all of the best pick of the apples were located. Which were also indicated on the trail signs I later found out!! Duh. I will definitely be back.
