Since I have worked at the store I have not once seen or know a Kris Johnson. There was a review -- Kris Johnson 1 review 4 years ago Prices are nothing special, but the service is worth noting. These guys are the rudest people EVER. Don't waste your time or money here! One behalf of the store. STATEMENT: We don't have a record of this person ever coming to our store.
Mike is a good guy, if you work with him and understand the market. If you go in and try to tell him how it is and what it's gonna be you'll be treated as such. It does take time to buy stuff here. He is interested in conversation, getting a feel for his customers and their needs if they have needs. Be patient, talk to him about what you're doing and he will help you.
Has a few items and seems to know their stuff on custom work. Low rating because it’s hard to ask a question or order anything due to the owner being so busy trying to pop off smart remarks and show you how amazing he is with his arrogant speeches. Just spend your money elsewhere so he can entertain himself with his own brilliance uninterrupted.
After going into this shop several times over the course of several years, this man has never failed to give me attitude, smart off, or criticize me at every "stupid" question I ask or use "incorrect" terminology when trying to communicate with him. I am always a 100% polite person when I enter a place of business and expect the same in return. As for his prices, they are set at just about the highest you can find anywhere locally. I bought items from another brick and mortar store that were less than half his price for the exact same items.
Great little store. Some unique guns for sale and had a very good selection of .223 for hunting. Great price on one shot brass for reloading. Will definitely go back again. Great customer service and very friendly.
Mike knows his stuff. Great guy very informative. If you are willing to learn he will teach you. If you go in acting like you know everything and don't he will treat you as such. Nicest guy you will every meet.
Mike knows his firearms well. Not like going to wal-mart or something where the clerk is selling garden tractors one day and guns the next. He is very good at fitting a gun to your personal needs, not pushy, but very informative. It's a real gun shop.
Know your prices especially on supplies magazines & ammo. Magazines are full retail value. Expect the usual attitude from a small town gun shop run by a former law enforcement officer. I purchased one used gun police trade in Glock .40 S&W that was a good buy. When I requested if he could get me a new specific Ruger MkIII .22 handgun for plinking, he insisted they weren't available. Another small gun shop across town obliged me, looked it up in his catalog, gave me a price, called me within the week and we were both satisfied with the business transaction.
The guy behind the counter seemed nice enough. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are for. He was respectful to us and I'm guessing expects the same in return.
