Lake view incredible. Many Blue Herons. Saw an Eagle on our arrival looking for fish and making several passes in front of us! Quiet, Lots of other small birds eating insects along the waters edge. Bathroom facilities were satisfactory my husband said. There is the Cascade Hollow Distillery within 5 miles.
Stayed towards the end of September. Beautiful sites available right on the water. Very cleanly kept grounds. Sites are level are many are pull through as well. Can't wait to come back again!Hotel highlightsGreat view, Quiet
Camping is always good. But our Barton Springs stay was a rare perfect combination of weather, location and peace and quiet. The camp spot was perfect, bathhouse was spotless and the staff was friendly. Absolutely recommend, although the island is the preferred spot. Tons of trees and shade and more than enough room to stretch. We shall return
Decent experiences. It's better now a days and doesn't have as much trash everywhere. However the bathrooms need more attention plus I should be able to leave, come back, without having to pay as long as I have the proof.
Beautiful campground and all the staff was very nice and helpful. Very clean bathrooms and grounds. Awesome site right on the water. One of the prettiest lakes I have ever been on. We will be back for sure!!!Service: 5/5
Always love our visit to Barton Springs! Our stay last week was all I wanted for my birthday and I enjoyed all four days of it. The weather was great, the lake was beautiful and site #7 is our favorite. The staff are always so friendly and willing to help with anything. Can’t wait for our next visit! Only thing I would suggest is updating the bathhouses.
This is a fine campground with fine facilities and very nice views of the lake from most sites. No sewer connections or WiFi but decent cell signal strength for our Spectrum Verizon cell phones. My only complaint is the God-awful, obnoxiously bright LED lights coming off of the bathhouse. Certainly ruins the nighttime ambiance anywhere near site E3.
All I can say is our stay at Barton Springs Campground was a blessing and a God thing. We sold our home and was in the process of building our forever home. We bought a camper and placed it at the campgrounds. Management and staff were so kind and gracious, even tho the stress of building a house was much, we had the comfort of sitting and seeing the lake which was so beautiful. Our favorite time was the mornings having coffee and looking out and seeing the lake. We never owned a camper before so there was so much to learn and they were so helpful. We met so many wonderful people that we will never forget. We highly recommend Barton Springs. The campgrounds are so beautiful and they keep it so clean. Just wonderful friendly people. They were quick to resolve any issue we had. We are looking forward to coming back and actually going camping! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Marty & Debra Baker
Great place to spend a week. Everyone very helpful and friendly especially Jessee who went out of his way to help us. Thanks for a great time camping
We camp at Barton Springs Campground quite often and our biggest complaint is that will not upgrade their shower houses . Their is only one toilet and one shower on the mens side which have been there for years . They are clean but way out of date . Over on the island part of the campground there facilities are more modern and private . Also we think there should be free wifi . Our phone coverage is spotty at best if you have AT&T . Not everyone has Verizon . Note ; I am getting tired of writing this same review .
