Bass

I brought an amp in for repair. They said it would take two weeks. It took a month. When I finally got the amp back it still had all the problems it had when I brought it in initially. I bring the amp back to show him it still has problems. I plug it in. The noises and problems are the same as when I brought it in. Then this dude has the nerve to gaslight me to my face. Telling me there is nothing wrong with the amp. I mean sketchy af. If you need something repaired take it anywhere but this place. You’d be better off with a lawnmower repair person

Simply one of the best and friendly and most knowledgeable and helpful music stores I know of. With Gary the very cool owner, and the best guitar tech on the planet in Tina. Great instruments and amps to choose from. From new to vintage. And a great collection of pedals, cables, parts and accessories. They pack a lot into that store. Anything you need, go on in. Where a lot of the studio guys go as well. Join the"in" crowd. It's the worst kept secret in town!

Place sold me a pedal, didn’t give me a receipt. Called to ask their return policy a few days later because I didn’t like it and they told me 48 hours. Is this a joke?

Been going to the Amp shop for a few years now very friendly staff and Gary is very knowledgeable when it comes to guitars and gear. As well one of the biggest guitar pedal selections your gonna find anywhere in LA!!!

I happily travel from Tucson to North Hollywood for the best guitar luthier I know: Tina Wood at the Amp Shop Bass Exchange. The EverTune bridges she installed on my two old Gibsons are beautifully crafted into perfect position...and both have stayed in tune happily ever after. Supreme thanks & hat's off to Tina Wood!!!

Tina the Luthier is absolutely great. The guys that work there are not so nice and even worse on the phone. Don't hold their stinky attitudes against Tina...she is the reason your going there. Her pricing is ver fair and she has a sweet personality and high level of skill.

Wonderful shop. Spent all day looking for parts to rewire my bass. tried like 8 different shops and you'd think these were common parts, but alas. Anyway, the folks at Amp Shop had just what i needed and made sure i was set up with the exact right electronics for my particular instrument. Super helpful staff, excellent selection of strings and parts, and some really cool instruments up on the walls as well. highly recommend.

New location in North Hollywood is great! I've had many guitars, acoustic & electric, serviced there, with excellent results. Tina, the guitar tech, knows her stuff. Only tech I trust with repairs... and I've had some doozies! Rick & Gary run the front desk & sales. Really nice family of musicians there. Great advice. Great service. If you're a regular, even a better deal than the great deals they're already offering!

I've been a client for over 10 years and every single experience I've had with them has been worthy of a 5 star review. I will continue to take my business here as long as I live in LA. Great service, knowledgeable employees, and an absolute pleasure every time. I don't how she does it but Tina is an absolute genius when it comes to anything guitars. I got nothin' but love for these guys! Take the Pepsi challenge and find out for yourself. Hands down best in LA!
