I have used BRR a few times for day float trips an have had very good experiences. It is definitely a more premium resort that is a little more upscale than many and has very nice facilities. The staff I have encountered were very friendly. The last time I floated, I left my sunshirt hanging on the railing by the bathrooms and I am unfortunately 2 hours away. I called with little hopes that they would be willing to check for it and mail it back to me. The person that answered the phone was friendly and accommodating to my request. The found the shirt and gave me a call back 10 minutes later. They mailed the shirt back to me without hesitation. It's little things like that, that make a lasting impression and make me come back for future business. Really nice resort. Highly recommend! Nearby activities: Great float trips!
This was our first time at the resort and we were very impressed with the entire property. Our Cozy Cabin was clean and gave us just the right amount of space to be comfortable. We had float reservations for midweek and the staff was very cool about explaining how it all worked. We came back to the "store" multiple times to order food and grab ice and drinks and always had great service. Also, the food delivery service is a killer option and makes you stand out above the rest. We'll be back for sure! Special shout out to Alyssa behind the desk. She was awesome to talk to, super informative, and just a pleasure! We saw her the morning we were checking out while shes was off the clock, and she offered to check us out so we didn't have to wait. She's an asset to your team!
Family float trips with many options. Cabins are super sweet. Campsite is very nice. General store has everything you could possibly need, and is NOT overpriced. Delicious thin crust pizzas delivered to your tent or cabin. Chicken bacon ranch is my favorite.
We went camping for the second time with a very large group and we love it! It's far away from the city which is nice when you need to disconnect for a while and views are amazing. Camping sites are clean, staff is super friendly and they are amazing at keeping bathrooms and showers super clean! There's a store at the main office and it's very well stocked with all types of assortments needed for camping; prices are very reasonable. We definitely recommend doing the river float, it's super fun and refreshing on hot days!
Bass River is a great place if you want a cabin closer to the river for floating. We stayed in the A Frame cabin, which was nice and roomy. We were able to walk down to the river from our cabin and hang out. Unlike the other cabins with a covered front porch, the A Frame has no outdoor covered area. If it rains, you have no choice but to be inside. We were able to bring our dogs both on the tube for floating and in the cabin, which definitely is awesome.
It was great! Organized and friendly and helpful. Not a bad camping site I could see. Floating was beautiful! Bathrooms were surprisingly clean. Lots of supplies for purchase should you forget anything. Great overall experience! Having a family and party section is genius!Service: 5/5
We were just there a week ago for 3 nights. The float was great. Everything was as expected. We stayed at the river lodge view 1 cabin as we had a group of 10 people. The place seemed to be very clean but unfortunately there were bed bugs in the first bedroom on the main floor. Me and my fiancé had a horrible time and even now we still have the bites. I had to spend more than I spent to float to clean it at my place. Just never expected the lodge to have that unclean beds. Please check them soon before this happens to more families.
Floating in South Missouri...have you experienced this type of trip before?? Pack your coolers and bags and then hit the road to go floating, rafting, or kayaking with your bed buds in South Missouri. We stayed at Bass River Resort which has plenty of spots for tent camping, RV's, and campers along with cabins that can fit large parties. This campground also has an inground pool, natural water streams to play in, sand volleyball nets, and more. If you forget to pack a certain item on this trip, you may be covered because the Bass River shop has a wide range of items, including hot pizza that can be delivered to your campsite. You can book your float on the website or in person better to plan ahead. The bus picks you up at your designated time to take you on your float. You will get picked up at the end and brought back to your vehicle or campsite depending where you are staying. Book your float trip at Bass River Resort today!
Cabins were really nice and clean. Float trip was flooded out. Didn't like the "we don't give money back, just issue credits". We did go ahead and book a trip next year! Would recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Bass River is the best place around, and our summer time camping home. We spend many weeks here every year, but the July 4 fireworks made it an even more amazing stay! Thank you to all the BRR Staff for EVERYTHING YOU DO! You are greatly appreciated. Clean bathrooms and showers, great pizza, huge store with a big selection and of course the beautiful water!!!
