The team at Bassett Baby Planning is awesome! Everyone I interacted with during my pregnancy and labor was professional and supportive. Nina has an amazing team! I saw Susan multiple times for prenatal massages and she showed me stretches that helped me feel more comfortable as I got further along in my pregnancy. Mary Alice Martin was our doula and I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. She provided guidance, reassurance and was instrumental in helping make our birth experience wonderful! We will definitely be using her for any future births. I highly recommend Bassett Baby Planning to all my friends. Thank you all so much for everything!

I chose Mary Alice at Bassett Baby Planning to be my doula for the birth of my first child, and I am so thankful that I did. From our first meeting, I knew Mary Alice was going to be a great fit for my husband and me. She is a unique and refreshing blend of professionalism and personality. As far as labor, she was 100% essential to my natural birth - we truly could not have done it without her. She offered amazing contraction coaching, massaging and body position recommendations and acted quickly to help remedy my nausea. My husband was very involved during the labor and did not feel like Mary Alice was taking his place. She was there to support the both of us. Should we decide to have another child, we will definitely use her again.

We had a fantastic experience working with Bassett Baby Planning! We worked with Rachel as our birth doula and she was amazing. With her help I was able to make it confidently through labor and delivery without ANY medication. She was so helpful throughout the process, letting me and my husband know what to expect and supporting us both. I know my husband felt so much more at easy knowing that there was a seasoned veteran who was there on our behalf. I know I felt so much more at ease having Rachel by my side, giving me pep talks, applying heat pads, and looking out for me. Cannot recommend her highly enough!

Mary Alice Martin was my wonderful doula. I am writing this review because I booked her due to other positive online reviews! She was absolutely amazing! As a first time mom and my husband as a first time father, we didn't know what we were doing. With Mary Alice, I was able to completely achieve my birth goals. We met three times before the birth and went over everything. She was available by text whenever I had a silly or serious pregnancy question. She was there for me physically, pushing on my hips I had back labor for counter pressure through every single contraction for 18 hours of labor !!!. She was there emotionally, encouraging me through the most exhausting yet exciting time of my life. She is so down to earth and will support you no matter what birth you want! She was the best!

Words cannot truly express how outstanding Mary Alice Martin was as my birth doula! Truth be told, I didn’t know what a doula was when I first became pregnant, much less anything about pregnancy, labor, or babies! So, naturally I wanted to make sure I had the most qualified, experienced doula I could find. I interviewed with several different doulas before being referred to Baby Bassett Planning. After my first face-to-face consultation with Mary Alice, I was extremely impressed, not only in her background and knowledge on all things babies, but also how professional and personable she was. And, once I went into labor, she more than exceeded my expectations. Without her invaluable guidance, coaching and support for both myself and my husband, I wouldn’t have been able to labor at home for 24 hours before going to the hospital. She not only helped me stick to my natural birth plan for 26 hours before I finally decided to get an epidural, once I received the epidural, my labor stalled, and it was because of her recommendations on how to naturally progress my labor not my nurses and doctors, who were quick to suggest a c-section, I was able to have a vaginal delivery. Mary Alice was such an integral part of making the birth of our first child such a positive and rewarding experience, and I could not recommend her more highly.

My husband and I selected May Alice as our Doula when I 6 months pregnant. Mary Alice was not just our Doula but an important part of my support system being a first time mom. During labor she was the rock that my husband and I stood on. She would reassure not only me but my husband as well, in my power and ability to birth our baby. What a phenomenal experience! The whole crew at BBP, and especially our Doula, Susan, made the birth of our first child a true joy. Having recently moved to Texas we were aware of the shockingly high cesarean rates at local hospitals and we knew we would need an Advocate to press for our wishes of a natural, unmedicated birth. In addition to being that buffer for us, Susan massaged and comforted me the entire 12 hours of my labor. Her services were invaluable and I truly don't know how I would have made it through without her. She has talented hands, a warm heart and knows the power of positive, encouraging words.

My doula, Chaya Hagler, was such a blessing to my family! We partnered together for the preparation and birth of our first child, Isabella. Not only did she help on the day of my labor, but she coached and answered any and ALL questions my husband and I had for the last 5 months of my pregnancy. The day of my delivery, my husband was able to text with her and call her while I labored at home through contractions. I know she wanted to be at my home with me, but given the way my labor quickly progressed and Houston rush hour traffic, she was able to provide support remotely. She gave me the confidence and encouragement to get through it. When I got to the hospital she met me out front and helped rush me to our room. She was able to talk me through pushing and I felt her support the entire time. We then met our daughter 8 minutes later! It was a great experience and I would recommend her to any new mommas out there!

When it came to having my first baby, I didn’t know much, but I did know that I wanted to have a natural birth. When looking into how to have a successful natural birth most anyone would suggest a doula. Bassett Baby Planning made finding the right doula and the dream of having a natural birth such an easy reality. My husband and I chose Mary Alice as our doula after our first meeting with her. She was more like a long time friend than a birth coach. She never shied away from any of our questions and was full of wonderful suggestions for pregnancy, Doctors, hospitals, and even pediatricians around the city. Mary Alice was with us every step of my labor and delivery. She was in direct contact with my husband while I labored at home and it helped my confidence immensely. I live well outside of the city and Mary Alice drove to my house and to the hospital multiple times to be with me through an extremely long labor. She held our hand and never once made us feel like she was taking over the situation. My husband and I know we wouldn’t have been as confident going into labor and with our delivery decisions if Mary Alice wouldn’t have been with us. My husband, myself, and our families will always be grateful for Mary Alice being with us for the birth of our son.

We absolutely LOVE Bassett Baby Planning! Everyone there is very knowledgable and helped both my husband and I navigate our way through our pregnancy and birth as first time parents. We hired Susan as our birth doula, and we could not have been happier with our choice. Susan completely clicked with our personalities, and we spent most of our appointments laughing it definitely helped calm my nerves in anticipation for the birth. She helped us lay out our birth plan, and although things completely changed at the last minute, we couldn't have had a better birth experience. We highly recommend anyone of the doula's at Bassett Baby Planning, and we look forward to having Susan present at all of our future births!
