Buyer be ware. Sadly I cannot give this store a 5 star review due to the employee we worked with named Howard Huynh. We’d been shopping for sofas at Bassett as well Ethan Allen and others. We’d been helped on our first visit at Bassett by Howard. After several visits and looking at many fabric options. I asked Howard to work up a quote including adding accent pillows and arm cap covers which aren’t included in Bassett sofas. Price wise we wanted to know what costs looked like for like items since what we were looking at from Ethan Allen did include accent pillows and arm caps. Howard emailed me the quote which had Brindle listed as the wooden leg color. Howard emailed me again about a week or so later to see if we’d made any decisions. He then informed us of an upcoming 30% off event. That 30% was an incentive so after a couple more visits looking at more fabrics we’d made firm choices and asked Howard to provide an updated quote which he provided before we left the store. I made arrangements to meet with Howard later in the week after the 30% sale would start. In the mean time quite by accident I found out that the standard default leg color is Walnut. I also found out that Brindle cost $90 more! Howard hadn’t informed us that there are multiple color options for the legs beyond the stock color and that those options have a $90 up charge. $180 secretly added to our quote and we had no idea there was choices we should have been asked to make. Shame on you Howard! I have my suspicions about other price manipulation he may have done, but if for no other reason than “his” wood color choice and it’s added $180 costs we decided NOT to purchase our sofa set from Howard and the Bassett Furniture Company Woodland Hills. I bought a bed from here MAGGIE WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL I came back on 08/17/2022 to buy the matching dresser and night stands but not one employee greeted us nor gave us the time of day I am a GSM at a retail auto dealership and this is unacceptable if one of my salesperson acted like this they would not have a job so disappointed with the poor staff that where all sitting on computer one of them was playing a card game the store manager should re think this staff
We have ordered a custom bed frame from Bassett, and while we like the quality and look, we're having a lot of trouble with the size/design. When ordering it, I was explicitly asking whether the frame will work with a standard box spring, and was told yes. After the delivery, we learnt that this is not true. The box spring ends exactly at the same height as the bed frame, and esp. because the bed frame is 2 inches longer than the bed, which is another problem when you don't use comforters is clearly visible and looking ugly. When calling the store, we were told that we need a low-profile box spring. But then we figured out, that the lowest we can go is 7 inches, since otherwise there'd be a gap between between the top of the mattress and the lower end of the headboard no idea why the headboard doesn't reach further down. So the next thing we were told was that our 10 inch mattress isn't high enough. So obviously there isn't a way to make the bed really look nice, if we don't want to purchase a new mattress. I'm very disappointed that we weren't given any information about all this when we ordered the frame, esp. as I explicitly asked about the box springs. Also our sales person wanted to provide more information if the 7 inch box spring will actually improve the situation, but I haven't received any more information for a week now, even though I followed up. For the price we paid for this bed, I'm very disappointed.
We bought this sectional from topanga, we had a slight problem with the corner seat, b the Bassett team was really good at getting back to us, especially Neena. She addressed the issue and was able to order the corner cushion for us. Neena is lovely to work with & provides 100% customer satisfaction.
