We placed a custom order with Basset in January 2023. The design consultant that helped us was Angela Rosenberg. The design experience was enjoyable and Angela provided a professional eye and kind feedback for every step of our process. She came to our home and assisted me with the arrangement and design of the pieces we wanted to purchase. We knew from the start that our order would take a while to be completed, and Angela communicated all delays as needed. We received our completed order in April 6, 2023. We were impressed with the quality and look of the final pieces. Prior to our delivery, an inspection was done at the warehouse and it was discovered that our tabletop had a slight flaw. A replacement tabletop was ordered immediately, and we were notified and given the choice to receive the lightly damaged table to use until the new table arrives. The delivery was professional and efficient. We ordered a couch, oversized chair, coffee table/ottoman and kitchen table with chairs. The fabric is phenomenal, and the cushions on the couch and chair are so comfortable. It was an expensive purchase that we don’t regret. You get what you pay for. We love all of our pieces and will definitely return to Bassett in the future.
We went to Bassett Furniture in July and met with Johnny who was extremely professional, patient and knowledgeable about the products and design. We just got a call and our sleeper sofa is arriving Wednesday mid August, far sooner than we expected! We are all ready discussing the matching chairs! Thank you Johnny Sincerely Denny and Amy
Great customer service, I was helped by Angela. She went over all the options, and fabrics with me, and took the time to explain everything to me so that I understood everything.
We have been less than pleased with Bassett in Dulles. Although the furniture is beautiful, their customer service after the sale has been abysmal. We have been waiting for over a month AFTER our estimated date of arrival which was already 3 months out from time of sale for our dresser and nightstands. When we call about when we can expect the pieces, it’s simply sorry could be any time, but call back in 2 weeks. And the cycle continues. We were actually told that we should be happy that at least they’re promising us dates now although nothing firm ‍ No attempt to expedite our order. No calls to the NC warehouse. Not even feigning interest that it’s been a third of a year and we are waiting. Very disappointed on this transaction.
My purchase experience went well. I had a very helpful representative. I bought a table and sectional. My table started chipping almost right after I purchased it. It has a white finish. This is where everything went wrong. The customer service team has yet to resolve my problem and this is that I bought the protection plan imagine if I had not. I called them for the first time in November 2020 and it is now February 2021. Their response was that they have been busy and they don’t get notified of emails. I understand being busy but not careless . I did a lot of investigation before choosing Bassett and saw some bad reviews but I thought people were just being picky. I was wrong, please save your self the trouble and invest your money elsewhere . Terrible experience:
My girlfriend and I recently moved into the area and went to check out Bassett. When we went in, we were immediately greeted by Gia, who was outstanding! After helping other clients, she helped us pick out a sofa and area rug that would match our space perfectly. We weren't ready to buy that day, so we told her we would be back. About 2 months later we went back in on Labor Day weekend with some more pieces in mind. Again, Gia was incredibly helpful and efficient. We finished checking out with our living room furniture, and she asked if we were considering anything else - I replied and said we were looking at the Bella bedroom set. Gia immediately rushed us upstairs to show us a Bella dresser that was on clearance. There was a nightstand that was also on clearance, and it just made sense to complete the set then and there. Thru and thru, we walked out of there with everything we wanted, nothing more, nothing less. After getting home, we realized that what we bought might not fit on our wall we were half an inch off, so Gia FaceTimed me and measured everything after closing to find some wiggle room in the furniture, which was there! The remainder of the day after leaving, zero buyer's remorse, and after sleeping on it, still zero buyer's remorse. Gia and everybody at Bassett's Sterling store took great care of us! If you can, work with Gia; she truly cares about her customers.
I like Bassett Furniture for it's quality and style. This showroom is open and airy and faintly reminiscent of a large lakeside home. The staff is very attentive but not intrusive. My only issue is the entire complex looks like a perfectly, layered, beige sea. I will be so happy when the design community goes back to embracing color.
We ordered a custom upholstered couch approx 6 months ago. Gia was very helpful in the selection process, and was helpful when our couch was delivered with the incorrect arms that we had not selected. She arranged for that couch to stay at our home we had already gotten rid of our previous one while we waited for our new, correct couch to be made & delivered. We've had the new couch for several months now & overall, we're really disappointed with it. The cushions are CONSTANTLY sliding out of place & needing rearrangement - like multiple times a day. It's so annoying. Additionally, we paid extra for deep seats & added down cushioning, and we are dealing with feathers poking us & coming out of the cushions. Prior to this, we had a $500 couch from Belfort that lasted 10+ years and never caused any issues. I guess we have learned a very expensive $2700!! lesson - just because you're paying a lot more does not mean you're getting something better. Would not recommend Bassett - go somewhere cheaper & save yourself the headache.
Just walked in to look at couches and bedroom suites, 2 people were at the “register” and a couple of other people were scattered throughout on their phones and computers- not 1 person even said hello to us. We were the only customers in the store. With so many competitors around you think they would be a little more appreciative for people taking the time to stop in. Haverty’s customer service is SO much better!
We went in here to purchase a living room set. Our designer, Susan, was incredibly helpful with customization and listening to our needs. I can't wait for it to arrive in 12-14 weeks!
