I would never recommend this furniture store to anyone. I thought this was a quality furniture store, boy was I wrong. The furniture was delivered “white glove service”. The guys that delivered it should have worn gloves period. They were touching my brand new WHITE couch with dirty hands. I had to ask them to wash their hands. The paper towels they used to dry were covered in dirt which tells me they didn’t wash well. Then when they went to bring in the 2 chairs both were broken. Looked like they were dropped. When I called to tell them they told me it would take 8 weeks to be redelivered on top of the already 12 weeks I had waited for my furniture. There customer service is absolutely horrible. They just don’t care. I was told I would get my delivery charge reimbursed, but that never happened. I wish I would have read the reviews before hand. I would have made a different choice.
This is a condemnation of Bassett quality not if their retail store. The store furniture can look nice but Be careful. Ordered lots of upholstery here and everything had to be sent back. Sofa, chaise and two chairs. Will be months before I get it back and have to keep my fingers crossed that it will be of a high quality. Meanwhile have to live without furniture. Also communication is horrible.
After reading these negative reviews no way I’m going to buy furniture here!!!I better off going to Raymond and Flanigan better quality more affordable prices and good customer service.
Edit:they made it right Absolutely terrible service. I spent about $10k here on my Astor gray California is king ALONE. Posturpedic remote controlled. I suppose to be living luxury. However this beds stopped in upwards position on the mattress absolutely randomly. When I called to get a service Tech out of fix it they told me that I would have to wait 48 hours. 48 hours to fix something wrong with your bed that is insane. 48 hours just to wait for somebody to call you just to have you wait longer for them to actually come out and and fix it for you. That's insane. We are talking about a bed here not a chair not a sofa your bed. Then on top of that the 1st time i called the customer service rep never put in the ticket so I waited 3 days for nothing. It has been over a week since my bed stopped working and I still do not have any Tech rep getting in contact with me. That is insane for person to spend $10000 and get this poor service.
The worst experience we got was this time. We order the dresser and night stands and the sales person told it will be smooth finish in white just so it matches our other furniture but it came in textured white which we never approved at first place. Than when we returned no one cared to call us and look into the matter. We went after 10 days of waiting to see where is the issue so the lady said it won’t come in smooth finish it is what is it. You can take it or not. We are having no choice than accepting the order very bad experience
I would give the store negative stars if I could. The customer service was horrendous. I placed an order and was given a far out estimate for delivery. I then went back and purchased other furniture. I was told that both pieces of furniture would be available for delivery in little over a month. When I called to schedule delivery I was told that the furniture wouldn't be available for a month. I was also told the order wasn't cancelable notwithstanding the receipt indicating that all non-customized orders could be cancelled any time prior to delivery. The store uses bait and switch tactics.
If I could give this place negative a million stars I would. When you spend close to $10,000 on furniture you expect to get pristine customer service. This was far from the case for me. The service was horrendous. This company will preach to you about how amazing their products and services are but when it comes down to executing, they have no idea how to. They can pick up the phone and make endless calls to collect balances on your account but when it comes to following up on your order, making sure you are happy with the product and offering true customer service, they have no time for you. Sad to say, you get better service at Bob’s Discount Furniture than you do here. Premium prices should come with premium service. And don’t bother trying to get through to a manager, they are never available and will always claim they can’t do anything for you. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
This review is solely based on my experience in the store. This place is absolutely wonderful. Not only was our sales consultant beyond helpful, she was patient and very accommodating considering we spent two plus hours in the store. We were able to find furniture for our dining room, living room and bedroom as well as accent pieces and can't wait to have them delivered.
Not one to write a review but I had to communicate to the general public and any Bassett senior management of our experience at this location. Visited to order Roman shades and Laurie and the GM Micheal helped my husband and I. After spending close to an hour selecting a light material where light would filter Michael verbally quoted us 1,600 plus 250-300 for measuring and install of 3 windows. We went to grab lunch and returned an hour later for them to then tell us the Roman shades needed a liner which then would not be as light filtering as we wanted. We left and were disappointed. Days later we decided they would still work for us. We called and Laurie & Michael tell us it’s 2,200 plus measuring and install. They both wasted our time and drained our patience. Total 360 degree disappointing and frustrating experience.
The store is very nice for those that are into rustic, restoration hardware look. The space is expansive, the vignettes are very nice and the furniture looks quality and not flimsy. It's not my favorite style as I am more into art deco / glammy luxe design, but for those that love RH, you'll find some great finds here at a lesser price and perhaps even better quality. The location is convenient as there's ample parking. The salespeople are nice and ask you right away if you need any help. Pleasant store to go to.
