So easy off I-10 after driving to long. Just stayed one night and it’s really nice. AND the staff is top notch, asked where I was heading and saved me 20-30 miles and hours of fighting traffic. Definitely will hit this place again. Service: 5/5
Long time RVers beware and DO NOT STAY HERE! This KOA has owners and management who are rude and inconsiderate. For the 9 months we lived here, they had no security, which is needed here. They had car break ins 2 car windows were smashed, property stolen from campsites, and vagrants from neighborhood/ park that could just wander in whenever! The Campsites are very close together, and when you pay for a bigger site to have the yard, they will not take care of it. Even after serval times of offering ourself before anything went on about it, we were told no they would do it. Even after being told this, they still had issues with getting it done and allowed their employees to treat us badly over the matter. They have cracked concrete and lawns unattended, bug infestation-red ant hills everywhere, standing water near campsites that breeds mosquitoes, feral cats that pee and poop under your camper and the entire campground constantly! They do nothing to help the stray cat issue and allow for it to get worse as random people just drop litters of them. They also do nothing about the other long-term residents who clearly feed them under their trailers. The aminties here should make the price more worth it, but sadly, they are not in good shape either. The pool doesn't open till 9am and closes at 8pm with cloudy water. The kid pool was down most of the summer season. When it opened in May much later than the pool, they had just painted it and unfortunately didn't test to see if it was slippery. My husband ended up falling the very first time with our child in his arms, and when brought to management, they met him with attitude and had no concern for their safety. Once it was finally running in June, they never kept it cleaned out, and it was always green looking. The hot tub looks questionable, mini-golf very outdated with leaves and debris littering playing field, arcade has games out of order for the entire 9 months, and jumping station is always deflated. When it was up, it was never blown off and was in the bake down sun never sprayed down with water. Washer and dry situation is not the best either. The office has anywhere from 4 to 6 depending on what's down for washers and 4 for dryers same deal. The office is the best spot, but people who don't camp come do their laundry, making it hard to get in there. They also wash all of the cabin and shower house curtains in these washers. In the middle, they do have two washers and dryers if they are all working. They have no signs back there and make it hard to use with people coming in for the night and not knowing how to do things or follow rules with none posted back there. Which was also brought to their attention when we first moved in. I was told they looked into it. None of the concerns get addressed by owners/managers, but if you camp there and question anything you mention, it will be met with dismissal or removal, Beware! This KOA is substandard due to owners and managers!
Mafia Style Management! This KOA has owners and management that are rude and inconsiderate. Long time RVers beware! Short term-keep driving there is so much better out there. Bug infestation-red ant hills everywhere, standing water near campsites that breeds mosquitoes, feral cats that pee and poop under your camper constantly! No security-car break ins, property stolen from campsites, and vagrants from neighborhood can just wander in whenever! Campsites close together, cracked concrete, lawns unattended, pool closes at 8 with cloudy water and kid pool down-hot tub looks questionable, mini-golf very outdated with leaves and debris littering playing field, arcade has games out of order, and jumping station is always deflated. BTW-none of this addressed by owners/managers but if you camp there and question anything you mention will be met with dismissal or removal, hence mafia style management. Beware! This KOA is substandard due to owners and managers!
Great location and friendly staff. Easy to get to from I-12, gas stations and restaurants easy to get to. You have to eat at Don's Seafood restaurants! Would stay at this KOA again. Safe neighborhood, lots of lights. Safety: Safe neighborhood, lots of lights.
We enjoyed our stay at Baton Rouge KOA. We had a decent site and it was by the pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed it was set to open a few days after we left. It was pretty hot so I missed it not being open! There were two laundry rooms and sets of washrooms. We made good use of the laundry room near us. It was clean but there were a few dryers out of service. The dog park was a good size. The campground was clean and they were continually working on it. No significant traffic noise.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean pool, well-stocked store, 20 mins from LSU campus. The morning breakfast is a bargain AND tasty.Rooms: 5/5
Easy booking, great breakfast, very helpful staff, activities for all ages and personalities! We stayed just two nights in town for dance competition, forgot to request late checkout but no worries staff let us pull to overflow and come back after dance was done. Thanks KOA Baton Rouge for helping make a busy weekend easy and fun!Rooms: 4/5
Convenient location with easy access. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I was originally assigned a site that was much too small for my rig but that problem was quickly resolved with a spacious site. I was pleased.Service: 5/5
I sayed in a tent site while visiting Baton Rouge. The staff in the office were inviting and friendly, and in fact all of the staff were great. The campground, showers, restrooms, and washers/dryers were well cared for, clean, and routinely serviced. This was an enjoyable stay and I will stay there again on my next trip to the area.Rooms: 5/5
Pam at the front desk was amazing! HOWEVER, there are several things that need to be changed.. 1. The pool area closes at 8pm? So adults that want quiet time in the hot tub without bratty kids screaming don't get that luxury. Every other place we stay at to include KOA close their pools at 10pm or 11pm.. 2. I thought this was a "keep all dogs on leashes" property. Yet a man with a doberman pinscher is allowed to walk freely with no leash.. doberman pinschers are considered a "junkyard" dog for a reason. Not sure if this guy works for the koa or not although he appears to, but this should not be allowed, safety first right? Safety: There are safety issues here.. Walkability: You are not walking distance to anything. Food & drinks: Very basic gas station kind of store.. Noteworthy details: Dogs are allowed to be off leash apparently. And the pool closes at 8pm..
