Battaglia Distributing

Battaglia truck has blocked the very busy alley/parking lot at 5255 W 95th Street in Oak Lawn on numerous occasions for the better part of an hour. Other times they park in handicapped spaces. Have complained to management but doesn’t do any good. When I complained to the driver today, he said “blah, blah, blah - I’m going to be here all day”. This alley services the ATI I go to and a very busy restaurant - blocking the alley affects many drivers.

Delivery at 1130am. Arrived at 0500. Had one driver in front of me. Took me right away. Waited in the turn lane of the road. Backed in off the street into the garage. Unloaded and Paperwork in hand by 0615. If cold items gotta deliver in the parking garage. They come in at 0430 and will take you fcfs with cold items.

This post has nothing to do with the company itself but one of its drivers. At 9am this morning 1-27-22 the driver ran the red light going 50 mph if not faster, coming off the ramp on I-57 on 111th st and if it wasn't for me hitting my break he would have hit me and possibly killed me. I have 3 children and a husband to go home to. And because of his stupidity he could have taken me away from them. They really need to retain their drivers on safety.

In a world of terrible customer service, they may take the cake. WOW. They must be rolling in it to care this little about selling their products.

The people here were great I arrived late put me right in a door 5 pallets took them off was out of there in 30 minutes

I delivered few times at the south facility across the street. Yes it is hard to back in, especially when all employees are there and the lot is full of cars but receiving staff is great and they'll get you early if they can.

If you have a cold storage load going here try to get there as early as possible. You must back into a small garage off a very busy downtown Chicago street. If you do go during traffic just start backing into the garage and hope the cars stop.

My company sent me here a few times. One of the worst places I’ve ever had to deliver to. Have to park in the middle of the street until it’s your turn. The cars speed up and down this road while you are trying to open trailer doors, cross the road to the guard shack, and the try backing in. Dangerous place and very busy. Luckily I no longer deliver here!

They should take down that black gate make it easier for 53ft plus sleeper truck to back in. Come off the i55 down to Ashland and back on the left not blind spot. Remember you have the bigger vehicle.
