The professional staff at Battle Funeral Home is committed to providing dignified, respectful and compassionate assistance to every family.
Time and service have honored the name of Battle Funeral Home since 1933. In Phenix City, Alabama in February of 1933 W.C. Battle, Sr. embarked upon the funeral industry. To this day, Battle Funeral Home continues to service the families of Russell County and surrounding areas of Alabama and Georgia. To this end W.C. Battle, Jr. founded Battle Memorial Funeral Home in June 1963. His vision of establishing a professional funeral service for the African American Community in the Bay County area was an essential part of the legacy he wanted to foster. Located in the beginning at 605 East 10th Street, the Lord blessed this family to build a new facility at 1123 N. Cove Boulevard which has since changed to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. This facility which was completed in 1972 offers a complete funeral service, including burial, cremation, and shipping throughout the U.S. as well as international shipping arrangements. Battle Memorial Funeral Home under the direction of his son, Victor B. Battle L.F.D has remained a family owned and independent funeral home. He believes this makes a tremendous difference in the personalized care and service a family receives in their time of need. In addition it gives us the ability to offer very competitive prices. Our family vows to continue its strong commitment to the community and funeral service profession in the new millennium and look forward to continuing this fine tradition of Quality and Sympathetic Service.
