Group didn't love the chicken, or dressings. The fried mashed potatoes and cheese balls were delicious though. Not a lot of menu options and kind of expensive, but friendly service. The sauerkraut that comes with the meals is pretty good. Overall probably wouldn't go back to eat, but the place was fun to explore with all the little shops downstairs.
Old world German themed restaurant. Well known for their chicken dinners. The dinners are served family style. Plates of chicken and tons of sides to pass around the table. The atmosphere is one of a kind. The service was outstanding . Once you're done eating there are many shops to browse. Highly recommend Food: 5/5
We love it here and come twice a year. Service is great and I love the old decor. Food is good, but I feel over the years the quality of the chicken is not as good as it use to be. Still good and worth a visit. Make sure to check out the castle shops amd grab some baked goodsFood: 4/5
Food portions are quite large. The server was knowledgeable with our dietary restrictions, and was able to suggest substitutions. Our meal was quickly delivered, and tasty. This restaurant is also wheel chair friendly. Good job! Dietary restrictions: Our server was able to meet our dietary needs Parking: Lots of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Goid wheel chair access
This is my first time eating here and I loved it. It's not just the food but the whole atmosphere. I loved how the building was decorated, how the waitstaff was dressed. And one bite of stollen bread transported me to another time and place. Our waitress Espysp? was great and made sure we had everything we needed. She helped us pronounce one of the items on the menu. The food was good. I liked the breading on the fried chicken and the potato cheese puffs.
The German atmosphere was very fun, absolutely loved the decorations and the costumes! Vegan and a separate vegetarian/gluten free menu is available, just ask them. Also the prices vary for lunch and dinner size potions , which is a great touch because you can tweak it to how hungry you are. Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly
Highly recommend the potato cheese puffs and the cranberry relish and pickled cucumbers. Some of the dishes did lack seasoning.... I thought for the amount of food you got for 3 people and the price that it was worth it. I also recommend trying the orange coconut CreamsicleFood: 3/5
The Bavarian Inn restaurant in the historic town of Frakenmuth was such a wonderful experience. The whole place was wonderful from the decor and ambiance to the food it was great! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and our server was the same! The food itself was great- offering a wide variety of Bavarian dishes! I recommend trying their pickle fries; If your in Frakenmuth, this is a MUST go experience
Foods was pretty delish, we actually love it. The thing is, it's quite $$ and for the price it doesn't even come with a real sides. The serving portions were kinda small really THIN slice. Love the atmosphere though, our server was great and attentive too. Their chicken is a really MUST to try.Food: 5/5
Oh my gosh.....where to start?? The staff wear the German attire and everyone was very nice. They are known for their fried chicken. Well, I'm not a fried chicken sort of gal, but when in Rome, right? Or in this case Frankenmuth. I was a little perplexed by the menu, and maybe I just didn't read it right. One side had meals that came with a lot of sides. I mean a lot of sides. I ordered chicken tenders and they came with fries. I asked if I could order a side of Cole slaw as well. She said yes, that comes with it. A few minutes later she comes and brings us a cup of chicken noodle soup. Then she brought out salads....plural. Yes...there were 4 salads. Cole slaw, cranberry salad, pasta salad, and cucumber salad. Lord, we haven't even gotten to the chicken tenders yet! We'll, they were next. And they came with fries....and butter noodles, and green beans, and I know I'm forgetting something. We proceed to make a dent in all of this. Okay, we demolished it. But we had walked A LOT that day, so I justified it. THEN came dessert! Yep, we weren't done yet. She brought out small dishes of ice cream to round out the meal. I thought I was at Thanksgiving dinner with all this food. And it was GOOD! And reasonable. I would definitely make a return visit if ever in the area. It's apparent why they've been business for so long.
