Bay Aire RV Park is phenomenal. Close to everything. Trolley service right outside the gate. Will take you to many attractions. Staff members are fantastic. Helpful, friendly and very professional. Property is well maintained, laundry facilities are new and easy to use. Recently updated pool is amazing. As full time RVers we would be excited to winter there if anything were to open up. You can tell the management team takes ownership of the property and are top notch. If you get a chance, don’t miss out on staying at this hidden gem in Palm Harbor.
We recently purchased an RV 5th wheel and Bay Aire was our first foray into camping since our early pop-up days. We were there for a week. Our experience was beyond wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and so willing to share their experience with a couple of newbies. We were escorted back so we could make the turns safely and helped into our slot by experienced and patient eyes. They were a font of information about the systems on our rig. Our fondness for the staff was exceeded only by the residents. What a friendly bunch! We were included in the camp activities from the start, and found ourselves at an ice cream social, movie night, bingo, pool time, morning cinnamon buns, a Quilts of Valor ceremony for veterans, and an awesome block party as a send off for those shortly to be heading back north. Thanks everyone! We're pleasantly exhausted. See you again soon.
Bay Aire RV Park is a hidden treasure! It is a great location to explore the surrounding area, near Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, Honeymoon Island, Dunedin and Clearwater. There is a Publix grocery store within walking distance as well as a variety of eating establishments nearby. Across the street is access to the Pinellas Rails-to-Trails bicycle/walking path, a marina and boat launch and a Jolly Trolley stop as well. While many of the residents are seasonal or full-time, they are very friendly and welcoming. Park Management and staff are super courteous, helpful and friendly, with the right balance of managing guest expectations and maintaining the park. Entry is via gate card access for security. Yes, the back-in spots are close together, but sites come with a cement patio and full hook-ups including free WiFi. The pool is heated, the bathhouses are clean, the laundry is open-air with newer washers and dryers and includes clotheslines if you prefer to dry clothes in the Florida sunshine! During the snowbird season, the Recreation Hall is a gathering place for many of the seasonal social events that are offered! Join in for BINGO, card games, Darts, Petanque, Corn Hole, shuffleboard, water aerobics, yoga, bike-to-breakfast, arts and crafts, social hour, ice cream, movies, book club, line dancing, and more! Pancake breakfasts twice a month, with special occasion meals as well. I spent the past winter season there as a snowbird and have to say that while I came as a guest, I left feeling that I was part of a family. It was a wonderful experience! I plan to return!
Really had a lovely stay at Bay Aire. My dogs were spoiled by all of our neighbors and there were many fellow dog owners there. The management team are all wonderfully genuine people, very kind, and we’re always efficient with any needs that I had. You will leave there feeling like family with everyone. I highly recommend Bay Aire for short and longer term rv stays.
The park is nice, however very tight, and there is not much space between coaches/RVs. I have a Very nice looking 2002 motorhome, of which I provided pictures, and was denied a site. If it was a "High End" resort, I would understand, but it is Not!Service: 3/5
Excellent campground. Great staff. Nice pool and shower area. Close to great restaurants shopping etcService: 5/5
The lady I’m staying beside has a broken sewer hose that she has had looked at 3 times and it stills leaks and smells like a toilet. The lady in the office is a bit rude but is still helpful. I tried to tell her I needed a card for laundry but she insisted I used the phone app when I stated multiple times I would rather have the card because I work 6 days a week. The sites are small and the pool closes early. Edit : after new management they really put things back in order and it’s a nice place to stay, would recommend now
The office and grounds help were excellent. The reason for the 3 stars is the TV reception was terrible. The wifi was useless unless you pay to upgrade, no campfires were permitted, not even a main fire ring. All in all it was a so so rv park.
This is not a fun place. As you pull in and see the pool / clubhouse, it looks like maybe its a fun place. But, once you drive in and see that the bulk of the units are old and permanent. While technically its an RV park, in reality its just a poor neighborhood. In talking to some of the residents, its clear they miss the previous manager and owner who passed away. Eric is the new boss of the poor neighborhood and he wants everyone to know it. He walks around enforcing the rules, well, at least some if them. We went to the pool to cool off after a bike ride. We brought a few CANS of beer no glass and our dog. Ok, our bad on the dog, probably shouldn't have brought him he was inside the fence, but not in the pool. Anyway, I guess the beers were a problem too. We were asked to leave with them. There was no one else there except for a college student we were chatting with in the 55 and up community. When Eric was asked about why there was a young kid in the 55 and up park, we learned that they approach that one with "an 80 - 20 guideline". Huh? No 80-20 option for having a beer at the pool. A lot of times, and in this case, its very much a case of not so much WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. Anyway, Eric is a buzzkill and he's everywhere. A couple side notes... very small sites, residents say the center area floods ankle-deep in heavy rain - we did not experience this, but beware, tall grass and weeds, and no golf carts allowed except for Eric, he gets one so he can check in you, but no one else. Maybe this is your kind of place, I can say for certain that we wont go back.
This is our first year wintering away from the snow and cold, and now we are hooked. We did NOT stay at this resort, but have been searching for one to winter at this coming fall/winter season. We have four dogs, two are 13 years old, one is 10 years old and the 12 pound dog is 3. We are extremely conscientious and RESPONSIBLE pet owners, however that doesn't matter when the rule is 2 pet limit. I totally understand why that is, because every time we walk our dogs at any park we stay we find and clean up poop that is not from our pets. Unfortunately the "clean-up after your dog" rule is never enforced, especially in parks that have full time residents. Limiting the number of pets will NOT solve the rule violations, enforcement will. Possibly consider a section that is pet free, like the one we are at in Naples right now. Sincerely, a retired ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER.
