That seafood pasta though. And "garden party" cocktail. Mega fresh seafood and some of the best views in the hamptons. Only restaurant in the immediate area which is great, located on the second floor of a marina. Same cooks year after year which is a great sign.
Such a great place to watch the sunset and have dinner in the summer. Friendly service at the bar. We loved the fish and chips and ahi tuna. Salads are freshly prepared with delicious local produce. Sadly they aren't open year round. See you next summer!
Bay Kitchen has amazing views but sadly they were so overwhelmed despite appearing to be fully staffed that they couldn’t provide basic service. We waited 20 minutes for our reserved table, we had to request to order our food, request to have empty plates removed, we poured our own wine and had to ask if our main dish would be out 30 minutes after we asked to have our appetizer plates cleared. That said, once we received our food, it was tasty. The Ribs starter, Summer Salad, and Mini Wedge were good. For mains, Soft Shell crab was good but the Chicken Carnitas was very dry. They did apologize for the kitchen being slow and offered us dessert but after spending two plus hours waiting we just were tired and wanted to go home.
5 stars for location - right on the water 3 stars for the rest, Service is very uneven. Takes very long to get a drink once you can order one and some of the wait staff act like they are doing you a favor. Bartenders are great. I have been here a couple of times and it’s hit or miss on the food. Raw bar is always good but pass on the crab cakes. Very little crab.....a lot of filler.
Came here on a Sunday evening after boating in the area. The reservation we made was honored very quickly. I ordered the open arms drink - it was ok but certainly not worth $18. We had the crab cakes as appetizers, these tasted very good and fresh. I had the truffle seafood pasta for my main. The pasta was nice and just a bit al dente. I asked for this without scallops and instead to add a bit more lobster or shrimp. There was one very small piece of lobster tail on the very top and 5 jumbo shrimp around the sides of the pasta. Also absolutely not worth $42!! The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about their menu. But something here was just lacking for me.
We had a fabulous evening at Bay Kitchen on Saturday night. They had the BEST service I have ever had in the Hamptons. From the minute we arrived till the bill came, the service was amazing. Quite frankly with great food and that view, many restaurants wouldn't even bother providing that level of service but they did. Thanks, Kathryn, for setting the tone for such a great night. It's our new fave spot.
Sadly management responded to my one star review with a tale of woe about someone else. Two of us went for dinner without calling or having a reservation and yes we were seated at a table for 2 in a tightly packed middle of the room. People at tables around us were bumping into us because there was simply no room for comfort. If that wasn't bad enough the wait staff kept squeezing between the tables constantly bumping us. Agreed that the location is outstanding but that's as good as it gets.
Fantastica place! Food was delicious. Happy hour 4 to 7 is dollar oysters and 5 dollar wine. Presentation also fantastic. Entrees of the dish of the day, the bronzino was also quite good. Lobster roll also great. Service was not so great, the manager and girl picking up dishes was very nice but the waitor was quite crumugeny. Went again, great a second time. Id def say it's a good one to go to
4 stars because of how awesome the bartenders were. The seafood itself gets 4 stars, and any non-seafood items on the menu get 3 stars. Outside of the awesome bartenders, the service was on par with what you'd expect from the Hamptons. Slow, unmemorable, and at times downright bad.
Just dined there this past Saturday night. What a great meal. Everything was soo fresh and delicious, from the apps to the desert! Really good baked clams, crab cakes, stuffed lobster, whole branzino, cheese cake & profiteroles. Our server was very nice & super friendly. Will def. be back soon!...
