Baycare became a brand, more like a monopoly, joining hospitals, clinics, nurses, etc. You leave a Baycare hospital and you must have Baycare homecare. You will receive different invoices from the Baycare hospital, Baycare doctors and nurses, and Baycare homecare. In such a way, you had one health incident in my case, COVID, but you will have to pay against your yearly out-of-pocket copay. It is like a big conspiracy for making you pay as much as possible. In my case, the doctors sent me home knowing I was diabetic, but keeping a medication which will push my glucose over 500. The homecare nurses kept checking vital signs while I was almost dying from my glucose levels. They couldn't do a thing for me. Nevertheless, the bill arrived months later for almost $500 more than $100 a day for a brief visit to check my vitals, same vitals already sent by the devices they gave me. It is a scam, supported by hospitals, doctors, and the whole medical system.
The nurses that came to my mother's home during her brief battle with cancer were kind and compassionate. They were responsive and did their best to accommodate our needs when called upon. When dealing with her affairs I had a small bill for a walker to pay $20. She never used it as they sent the wrong type and she passed before they could replace it. I returned it to her physicians office at their instruction. I called about the bill, expecting to just pay it and when I advised of the details and her passing, they waived the balance. It was a small amount but the gesture meant a lot. Nice people doing good work!
My mom is 80 yrs old with plurx chest tube needed home health to come drain her lungs 2 x week . this place absolutely continuously dropped the ball on her. I do not recommend this plcw at all
My husband had a cystectomy on his lower back which left him with a very large open wound and he had to have the home health nurses come change his dressings on a wound vac 3x a week for over a month. Sue was his nurse for most of the visits & and she was amazing! Latara also came out a few times and she was great as well The surgeon told him at each follow up visit that the nurses were doing an excellent job at caring for it. Sue was always on time & very thorough with everything. I’m only giving 4 stars because the office staff were not very knowledgeable when it came to billing & insurance. We were originally told insurance didn’t cover the wound vac which would have significantly delayed the healing process. I called the insurance company myself & it was covered under the same codes that we were originally provided when they told us it was not. I was very frustrated with everything at first & ready to find another home health agency but the nurses made up for all of that, doing a great job caring for my husband during the hardest thing he’s ever gone through.
Such poor service! Put in request for Medicare, Through them. Bed has no pressure & Im a Complete Paraplegic. Said might take 60 days At the most. They were treating a tear on my Backside. That was last Nov! Now I moved 30 days ago To have family help me. I live alone. Then when I called last week they said moved Out of their county & I would have to do the whole Process over. Are you Kidding me!!! What a way to treat elderly patients. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. What a rip off company.
I've been struggling with them now, for about a year just to try and get the proper headgear for my CPAP. When I was first given the equipment, it was during the initial outbreak of COVID, so I was basically given the device, programmed and told to try the different masks until I decided which one I felt best with. For the past year, they continue to send me the wrong mask to replace the one that has been wearing out over the past year. I've had to request a New Rx THAT'S WHAT THEY SAY for a "Change" to the mask type I've been using for the past year because they have me in their system as using a "Full Face Mask". The actual device I use has the words "Full Face Mask" in it, but it is NOT an actual Full Face Mask. Sad that The people who are in charge of issuing the equipment don't even know what they equipment is. I am an RN with Respiratory experience and can professionally say that, if I took care of my patients in my charge as poorly as Baycare has taken care of me, I seriously doubt my Patients would probably never leave the hospital. I'm to the point that they may as well just come and get their equipment since all it does now is take up space on my night stand.
The front desk receptionist at Baycare was very rude, I had appt at 10am once I arrive she was on her phone looking at TV. How unprofessional that was I pretty sure Baycare is unaware of you watching TV and not taking care of the customers. I will not be returning to BayCare on 20 Lake wire Drive again. Too unprofessional and bad attitude.
Sending unqualified nurses to take care of a friend's mother. One of them literally came and got on her phone and talk to his mother for 30 minutes and then left and was charged the full hour rate and was not even the person that was supposed to be. and then one of the nurses ended up calling DCF because his mother fell out of the bed while he was at work for 4 hours she was fine other than her catheter fell out but he was told by this particular nurse that she must go to the hospital immediately. He took her there right away as the nurses instructions and the next morning DCF was at the door saying that he was being abusive to the elderly which is not a true whatsoever
I dont recommend anything. Their services are the absolute worst for hospitals, primary care , and especially home health. They refuse to get correct supplies, they told me repeatedly that my mother didnt have a UTI when she did, then they called DCF on me because I didn't take care of her UTI. TERRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND. They never show up on time and they want you to give them a 4 hour window to show up in. They also cant keep people because they don't know how to run a business. All of their nurses and therapists complain while they are in the house about how incompetent they are. DONT USE THEM!!
MY MOM IS BEING FORCED TO SEE COVID PATIENTS EVEN THOUGH IM IMMUNO COMPROMISED!! THEY ARE NOT GIVING COVID PATIENTS TO ANY OF THE OTHER NURSES!! IM TALKING TO A LAWYER. THEY MAKE THEM WORK WAY OVER THEIR SHOFT AND GOVE THEM TONS OF EXTRA WORK!
