Horrible location. If you are okay with bare minimum care and being treated like you are a hassle then this is the place for you. The ER has a doctor but if you get admitted into the hospital side there is no doctor. Be prepared to only see your doctor via video chat. After two nights of staying there, there was maybe 1 nurse that actually seemed like she wanted to be there and do her job well, the rest acted as if it was a pain to have one person in the hospital wing. Yup, no one else there, just us. I ended up playing nurse most of the time for my partner and god forbid you ask a question cause you will just get an eye roll. Horrible location, highly recommend going elsewhere. Very impersonal and bare minimum care.
Would not recommend and will not be going back! The front office people are always so nice, however, the nurse and doctor that I had was just good at faking it. I took my 23 month old son here because his pediatrician was closed that day. I told them my son, had been coughing really hard and was acting like he had problems breathing at times and was possibly wheezing sometimes to. The doctor or nurse did not check my son lungs, ears, mouth or anything but diagnosed him with an upper respiratory infection. After asking the dr to listen to his breathing he did but when I asked his response was I guess I could. Like excuse me!!!! Shouldn’t that be the first thing you and the nurse should do anyway, I thought that was procedure. I mean every time I go to the doctor for a sick visit that’s the first thing they check and with him being a child it definitely should’ve been done immediately. Well, I took my son to his pediatrician 2 days later and my son was diagnosed with bronchitis. Long story short they do not care about their patients, I mean not even enough do their jobs. They will diagnose you with anything just to get you out of there. Worst experience ever!
Was admitted due to Bells Palsy in July. The doctor diagnosed me with Bells Palsy and then ordered a CT scan ‘to be safe.’ When they brought in paperwork for me to sign, I asked for a Good Faith Estimate to get a gauge of what my bill would be. Legally, they’re required to provide one upon request. I was told “don’t worry about that, this will be covered” because it was potentially life threatening. Fast forward a month, I receive a $4000 bill. I disputed the bill due to not receiving the Good Faith Estimate, and they proceed to take $650 off to “settle” my dispute, still leaving me with over $3000 in bills that were still disputed…then both Amanda Munes, a billing representative, and Vicky Lyons, the business manager, simply stopped taking my calls or emails. In order to keep my credit from being affected and to stop the harassing automated billing phone calls despite both Amanda and Vicky not answering any of my calls I set up a payment plan on February 3rd. I continued to get harassing almost daily automated phone calls, and then the auto payment doesn’t pull on the day I chose. I call back…and they never set up my payment plan in the system. That is a serious oversight that could have affected my credit. They also “lost” $300 I paid on February 10 and are telling me it could take upwards of a month to “recover” that money or I might have to pay it again. I’ve reported them to Texas Health and Human services in Austin and am currently waiting on the results of the investigation. **Editing to add that I did attempt to utilize the contact site that they included in their auto response below. Never got a response for this either. That was submitted to health and human services as well and am told it will be added to the investigation on their services.
If I could give them a zero I would! My mom who is non-verbal and a cancer patient came in due to her not being able to breath. My fiancé rolled her to the back with a wheelchair as I parked the car. I walked back into the hospital with my four year old son and asked to go to the back with my mom and was told I could not because they only allowed one person in the room. While sitting in the waiting room another family checked in hispanic and white with more than one person with them. All three of them were allowed to go to the back with their family. I walked back up to the front desk at this point feeling even more frustrated and discriminated against, and asked once again asked why I wasn’t allowed to go to the back with my mom but they just allowed another family to go to the back with more than 1 person with them. I also questioned the nurse who was very rude and nonchalant about my concerns. Meanwhile the family who checked in after us came in with stomach pains and were all allowed to go to the back with her. My mom checked in and couldn’t breathe but I had to sit in the lobby and wait. The excuse I was given was because she didn’t speak English. However both the husband and daughter could. Why were both of them allowed to go back when I was told I couldn’t?? I thought the rules were only one family member can go to the back??? I took a picture of the family to prove how I was discriminated against and will be filing a complaint.
DO NOT COME HERE! GO TO A REAL HOSPITAL THIS PLACE WAS PUT HERE FOR THEIR SELF PLEASURE! NOT TO HELP PEOPLE! This place was dirty both times I came. And they were no other patients besides me. The need to focus on cleaning instead of sitting on their rear ends at the help desk. Or shall I just say desk. Because they don’t want you asking for help! They need training the staff to having more compassion. You can definitely tell they don’t want to be bothered and rush to get you out! The dr was very rude and nasty came in yelling about X-ray the tech got a reevaluation on. And yes he yelled! Why did you request additional X-rays?!
Worst experience ever. 4 months pregnant with a kidney stone. Their ultrasound system was down due to a citywide imaging issue. We waited for 5 hours, and it never came up. I was not given a follow-up, prescription, results of any tests they charged for, or a diagnosis. After I left, I found out from my OBGYN that I had a UTI, that their lab found. $10 for my OBGYN lab and $870 for Baylors.. AND they never told me I had it in the first place. Thank God my OBGYN prescribed the antibiotics I needed. How is it okay to charge people for tests and never get the results? 2 weeks later, the kidney stone caused a bladder infection, but I never got the ultrasound results back to find out where it was or that it was still there. The only thing they did tell me was if I had further issues to go somewhere else.. So take it from them and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Stay as far away as you can from this place. Negligent and lying staff. Was told the insurance provided was accepted at the time of service, just to find out 13 months later for the FIRST time, it in fact ISN'T accepted and slapped with a $1000 bill. However, they had the insurance on file and simply marked it as "do not bill". But oddly enough, I never received a single phone call. Funny how I received not ONE phone call OR a statement until 1/2023 when the date of service was 12/2021. Still have never received a statement either. I've called MULTIPLE times to this facility to speak with a manager who, conveniently, is never in the building and never manages to call back, even after giving my contact. Save you and your family all of the money & hassle and go ANYWHERE but to this sham of a facility.
Do not go here they will charge ridiculous amounts of money for some of the worst service and health care out there. Literally forgot about my wife in the exam room and I had to track her down after an hour of her just sitting there alone. Never go here
This place sucks. Nurse walked away after I was brought in on a stretcher saying you reek of marijuana I'm calling the police. I called 911 for an ambulance in 110° heat and it was hard to answer questions. Hemp is legal in all 50 states federally.
I was hesitant to come here after reading past reviews, but I had a pleasant experience. There was no wait and the staff quickly ran the tests to find out what was causing my pain. The radiologist was especially nice and made me feel very comfortable during my CT scan. My only feedback is that the communication could have been better. I had to ask a lot of questions about things they should have told me upfront. Overall, I'm pleased with my care.
