I loved everything about this place!! Good location right on the water, delicious food, and GREAT service! Our waitress was super polite and even offered us gluten free options when she found out one of our party had a gluten allergy and specifically had the food cooked separately. Price for the food was fair too. We would definitely go back and absolutely recommend Bayou Joe's!
First visit to this restaurant. Upon first glance I thought, this is a dive, but the more we looked around it is a really neat place with lots of atmosphere. The restaurant is literally right on the water. The service was great, and the food was wonderful. It was a pretty good drive out to this place, but it was well worth it. We will be back when we are back in town. Thanks for a terrific dining experience!!
We went to eat here off of a recommendation from a friend before coming down to our Panama city beach vacation. We were all happy we took the recommendation. I'll be honest it didn't look like much walking in to the restaurant. But the atmosphere from the hostess station and the dining room area were excellent. It's a covered out door seating right on the water, looking out over the marina. The food was delicious. I got the captains choice meal. Chose the blackened grouper, and blackened shrimp. The grouper was good but the shrimp was very good. Next time I would probably only get the shrimp so I would have a bigger portion. Service was excellent they have a smaller dining area probably able to seat 20-25. It was nice to see the owner mingling with the customers. Everyone was very nice. My daughter liked that she could feed French fries to the fish, a suggestion from the owner.
The atmosphere was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Our serve Jessica was sweet and made sure we were taken care of. Can’t wait to go back for another trash burger!Food: 5/5

You can feed the fish while you wait… awesome for small Kids to not be bored… bring quarters, crackers or bread… food is good my teenager loved his shrimp burger I liked the tuna dip and all of My food.. my aunt was happy with grouper basket, little one loved the chicken fingers.. they have the most authentic local environment.. boats pulling up to have dinner on Massalina Bayou.. watch the bridge lift up to let the sail boats thru while you dine on open water in a great and interesting setting… this is my second time here Both on Mother’s Day weekend a Few years apart maybe an hour wait on a Mother’s Day holiday lunch is fine with me because Everywhere there’s a way on a holiday like Mother’s Day but we fed little Fish and crabs while We waited it was great fun
Love this place. Outside seating but can close a door when weather isn't ideal. Food is great. Best crab claws I've had in town, love the tuna dip, basket meals, burgers, Philly cheese steaks, you name it. Can feed the fish your scraps if you have any, while you sit right next to the water while trying to avoid the seagulls from getting it instead. I don't have to drive to the beach and deal with all the traffic to get there. I would say I just wish so many people didn't go during the tourist seasons and wonder how so many people find this place cause you'll miss it if you're not looking for it. But then remember there's people like myself probably giving good reviews. Lol. I should probably leave a bad review so I won't have as many people to deal with Probably one of, if not my most favorite restaurants to eat at in town, and great place to take my woman out to dinner who loves it as much as I do.
I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant with friends who have a house in Panama City. They highly recommended that we go there and it didnt disappoint. We went there for breakfast 2 days in a row. I had a bayou omelet and asked for it without cheese. The omelet was amazing, the other food that came along with it was equally amazing. The owner of the restaurant was also our server, and she was extremely friendly. She recognized my friends from their past visits, recognized us the next day and remembered what we had ordered the day before. The level of service was impeccable. I. I absolutely look forward to visiting Bayou Joe's again when I return to Panama City.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was delicious. I highly recommend the cajun shrimp burger. Sooo good! Definitely will be back.Food: 5/5
