This is a wonderful little park for families and anyone who likes to skate. The playground portion is really nice, and the floor beneath is spongy, which allows for the mitigation of fall damage. The park also has a small mini golf course, which is simply a fun little addition! Overall, this park is really fun for families. Restrooms: The restrooms here are really nice. The park keepers take amazing care of the location.
Variety of things for the kids to do.
We love this park. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches. There's no sand. It has wood chips under the swing, but the rest is rubber spongy material. If you go when it's warm, they have a small splash pad.
Bayou Vista Skate Park was the best idea they ever had for Bayou Vista. It's a awesome family place and a great place for children and adults to cool off in the water. The mini half is awesome too. It has great parking and also restrooms. It also has security cameras too. So there is no riff raft. No drugs. Nothing like that allowed and NO BULLYING!!!
I feel like the management here is kind of prejudice to whether you have a family or not. They don't respect the actual riders in the park that are trying to use the obstacles as intended. A park custodian/groundskeep by the name of David let a bunch of children under the age of 6, sit on the obstacles that riders were trying to use. They he began reciting rules of the park too me... Like I was the one in the wrong. Its a fun FAMILYpark not a fun SKATEpark.
Fun for kids and adults
Great park! Mornings and early afternoon friendly safe environment past 3:00 I don't feel safe for my children to play there.
My daughter loves coming to this park with her cousins. Snowball stand convinently across the street. It's a nice place for families and for the kids to play.
Has a cute little water/spray area. There is a side for small kids and an other side for bigger kids. Areas to sit and chill. Obviously has a skateboard area hence the name.
