Baytown Seafood Restaurant

This was my first time ordering food from this place...I have to say the food exceeded my expectations after reading some of the negative ratings. I ordered oysters on the half shell, side of fried oysters, calamari, shrimp cocktail and 3 hamburger baskets for 66 bucks. The burgers were pretty damn big, but the patty needed a bit more seasoning, the oysters on a half shell were tasty n not "fishy", the calamari was not too chewy and cooked just right! I can't comment on the shrimp cocktail cuz we ran outta space in our tummies! My husband and children agreed, this will be a repeat restaurant!

Best food, However this waitress was the worst!!?? And then the manager had to come apologize and say they were short of waitresses— like that is an excuse??

We started with one waiter and by the end of our stay we had 4 as if we were something to be gocked at. Stood around laughing like little kids judging everyone who walked in. Very unprofessional. We came to enjoy good seafood which it wasn't waited for 30minutes to take our order. First waiter didn't speak English. Which made it awkward for us. It was $113 and I'm still questioning why so much for only 3 people but never again. Then when it was time to pay they acted like my son wasn't even standing there to pay didn't greet him or anything just stood there in silence, like really? What exactly was their problem? Very rude people. When we checked google they said that it was busy and 15 min wait to be seated but when got there was hardly any people. Which I could see why it wouldn't be that many people. Never again.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The price range is fair . We had wings as appetizers the wings were good . I had the 20 oz. steak and the steak was more fat than anything also wasn’t seasoned correctly . My wife has the stuffed flounder and that was extremely delicious. My oldest daughter had the 12 jumbo fried shrimp which was also really good. And my youngest had the kids meal chicken strip and fries . I would come back. Oh and also the place was clean and organized anything you needed the staff would get it for you. When you get done with your plates or if you had any dirty napkins the staff will come and take care of it .

We went on a Friday at 7p for crawfish. They were busy but had a few tables open. The wait staff was very prompt with drinks. We ordered the special fried catfish and shrimp, crawfish, oysters, and grilled catfish plate. The oysters tasted super fresh. The food came out one plate at a time as it was ready. The wait staff was constantly refilling drinks and checking on us. We ordered the chocolate cake to go. It was so rich and delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and exceptional service.

Ordered gumbo... Was not very hot, Luke warm at best. Their egg rolls have a lot to be desired...will not order them againFood: 4/5

I have eaten at several Baytown Seafood locations in and around the Houston area. This particular location was alright. None of the food we had was fantastic, and the service was so-so. The main reason for the visit was crawfish,which ended up being our least favorite item. The crawfish were really muddy flavored and had not been well cleaned prior to boiling. The grilled shrimp are usually good at other Baytowns I have patronized. This location they were seasoned well, but hadn't been deveined prior to cooking. The fried fish fillet was pretty good, it was the favorite out of the items our table ordered.

The crawfish were small and expensive not a lot of seasoning. The blackened snapper was excellent. Service was OK.
