Just had Beam install a Quiet Cool whole house fan in our Truckee home. Working with contractors in Truckee can be challenging, as they are all busy. Working with Brian at Beam was so nice. I never met any of them, as it was all by phone and text, but it felt so so easy. And the installer, Triston, did a great job.
Very professional service. We had a Whole House Fan installed and they recommended several options for where to put the fan draw opening for us to choose. The fan is very quiet on the low setting and reasonably quiet sound on the high setting. Very happy with the Cool Quiet fan and the installation. Can't believe we waited so long to get one. We hardly used the AC after we had the fan installed. While here, they even fixed my Beam central vac pipe was disconnected for installing a 230V EV charger. They moved the central vac and reconnected it additional charge, but hey they got it done and I didn't have to do it.
I was very happy with the service we received. They listened to what we were looking for, made suggestions and gave us options to where to locate our whole house fan, and we have really enjoy having it! From cooling the house down to moving the smoke and smell of something that just didn't go the way you wanted in the kitchen - lol! It works, and fast!
By far the best people to work with. They installed a whole house generator which has been well used. There have been zero problems, a great looking install and they notify me when service is due. Great , friendly, courteous and a prompt company to have work with you. Definitely recommend them for any of the services they offer.
Be careful to avoid exorbitant bills for their services. We had Beam relocate a whole-house vacuum inlet about 6 ft from its original location. There was easy stand-up under-house access to the piping and the drywall was open on one side of the wall making it easy to bore a hole. I had already cut off and removed the old inlet. What should have been a quick and easy job for one person to install the new inlet turned into 1.5hr for 2 people and a $500 labor bill $125/person for the 1st 1/2 hour and $125/person/hour after. They claim they can't give exact estimates in advance, which I can understand. But if I had had any idea that the cost would be that high, I would not have hired them. When I called them after requesting a copy of the invoice they didn't leave one, I was told, repeatedly, that I had been informed of their rates and authorized the work. Bottom-line though - this should not have been a $500 job! To top it off, they didn't install the inlet flush with the drywall see attached photo, so I am going to have to pay extra to our drywall contractor to have this repaired when they come for other work.
We had our Generac Generator installed in June2021 by Beam "Easy Living" Center. They did a great job installing and setting up everything needed. Had all the work done in half a days time. No problem since installation and the service was perfect.
We have used this company for many services for the last 20 or so years. The latest being for installation of a whole house generator. During the snow storm Bob came out to make sure everything was working properly. We would highly recommend the Beam Co . Five stars out of five.
Installed my whole house generator 2 winters ago. They were very responsive to my questions and completed the work quickly and efficiently. So thankful. We have had to use it for this 4 day power outage and my whole family is staying safe and warm in my home during this snow storm.
