My wife and I love this park and have bringing our dogs here for years. They have drinking fountains, dog poop bags available as well as trash cans. Wide open areas and very friendly people. I would recommend bringing your own water dish to avoid from doggy viruses. They have two parks. One for larger dogs and the other four smaller ones. Also includes safe holding areas to remove leashes from your dog before they play.
I only go on the weekends, I can't review about the weekday. There is a small dog area and large dog area, separated, with a dog rinse station in between the gates. This review is the small dog side. Between 10am-12pm, there are a lot of dogs, and I'm aware towards the end of the day when it's cooler, there are a fair amount of dogs. Some shading from trees and coverings, with some chairs/benches. Very friendly owners, they always seem to have something to talk about which can be nice if you like to talk amongst strangers. There is access to a water fountain and dog water fountain below to fill up any water bowls the park provides. Access to dog trash bag and bins are available and seem to be always stocked. The grassy part in the middle can create mud with the dirt path around the grass patch, after a rainy day which can lead to muddy paws, but overall I prefer this park to others simply because my dog always has a great time.
Went during the week. Just 2 other dogs there. Very nice park clean and spacious. Small dog and large dog areas. Plenty 9f benches. Some shade
I guess it's nice as far as a dog park goes. I know the dogs would appreciate more trees and shade. It does have obstacles for them to play on / under, and seats for the doggy parents to sit on. I didn't see any water access for the dogs though.
Love this place!!! Copper is a liver colored German Shepard. He is a puppy so he stays on the small dog side for now. The park is well maintained. Great friendly people. Great dogs and we'll behaved. Room to play fetch and get some exercise with your dog. A little dog training and play toys. Water fountains. A place to wash off your dog if needed. Wonderful place and I highly suggest it. Can't wait to check out more dog parks!
LARGE DOG SIDE: The people here are weird and they rarely pick up after their dog. Poor planning with providing access to drinking water for the dogs. Sometimes smells like sewage. I take my dog here a few times a month.
This place is awesome!! Loved everything about it. Clean, nice people, nice dogs. Perfect size and has decent amounts of shaded areas. I used to drive out to RHUFF dog park but took too much time out of my day with the drive. This place is my new fav and is located in a very nice area of Roseville.
This park is mostly fun for the doggo however once in a while you have an owner who does not control their aggressive dog and dismisses bad doggy behaviors. Was going regularly until we had a couple of run-ins with these kind of owners so we don't really go anymore.
Only complaint, very little shade. Must go on cool days, or really early in morning or late at night before sunset
Large dog area and small dog areas, with small “cages” where you enter and exit, so you can wash your dog off or let it watch other dogs if you are training for reactivity. Trees, overhead covering and chairs are always available for a nice, shady sit. Small trail goes around the large dog area so you can walk. Small agility area. Always friendly people so far. Sometimes I’ve seen up to 14 large dogs all together in the large dog area, which is a lot, but it’s plenty big for running even with that many. Usually I see about 5 to 8 dogs in the popular mid morning times. Water and bagging stations are available, and generally used properly. It’s hard to find the entrance. You need to turn at the flashing Fire Station light and then wind around to the dog park behind a lot of trees. There is a nice walking path just outside the fence and some green grass areas also outside the fence if you need to train your dog in the presence of ‘other dog’ distractions. That’s where I am with my current German Shepherd, just walking and watching as we work on listening to my voice. Another nice dog park is on Sierra Gardens, over near Douglas Blvd, near the Post Office. It has hills and trees the dogs can get lost in for a few seconds fun for the dogs if they’re new to the park. It’s a single area, no small cages or small dog section. It does get muddier than Bear Dog Park, but it’s a nice option, too. Roseville does a good job with their dog parks.
