I have wanted to try Bear’s for a while so I made the hour drive from Baton Rouge to see what a lot of people claimed as the best. I wasn’t disappointed! One of the best Roast Beef PoBoys in the city. Small and busy/crowded place. My server was nice, but the food takes a while. They warn you ahead of time, claiming that it may be 30-45 minutes. Well, it was worth the wait… one of the best PoBoys I’ve had in a while. The bread was great. The sandwich was overstuffed with tender roast beef and covered with juicy debris.

Really enjoyed trying Bear's PoBoys for the first time. Huge portion of hot and fresh onion rings hit the spot. PoBoys were good sized and not overly sloppy. Server was friendly. Parking was a slight challenge though. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5

After approaching the unassuming entrance and dining room, I was greeted by the wonderful staff and steered towards one of the roast beef options. On my first visit, I am certainly glad to have chosen the straight up roast beef. The sandwich arrived as shown on the picture with a rather unassuming appearance. Then, I went to move the tray and discovered just how heavy the sandwich was. After taking a bite, I realized that the fully dressed sandwich was laden with delicious roast beef.  After finishing the main sandwich, I was rewarded with a mound of au-juicy debris to finish things off, which then answered my question as to why there was a eoll of paper towels on the table. I wholeheartedly recommend this great find!  Parking: Across the street under the highway.

The bread. My sandwich is dressed from top to bottom. These fries are long, thick, and perfectly salted. I tried to dip them in ketchup, but it threw everything off. My food was served hot and fresh by such a friendly hostess and server. Oh and my sprite is soooo spicy.  I’ve had a five-star experience so far!

Stopped here for dinner with the kids after traveling for the day. Excellent food and excellent service. We came only an hour before closing, and were welcomed with amazing fresh and hot food. Thank you Bear's Poboys!Food: 5/5

This looked like a hole in the wall place but the food was amazing. We had the boudin balls for an appetizer. They were so good. I’m looking forward to going back.

Wow! I'm born and raised in New Orleans and this is by far the best po-boy I've ever had! I appreciate the attention to details. The bread was toasted on one side yet remained soft. It compliments the sandwich in such a way!  Excellent! Food: 5/5

French fry po-boy has always been my go to here. This time it was mostly roast beef with a couple fries mixed in.Food: 4/5

Haven’t gone inside yet but work friend and I ordered delivery from this place . Sausage poboy was filled with tons of smoked sausage and very appetizing ! Co worker enjoyed the salad as well. We will definitely order here again !Food: 5/5
