Description

The Bearsville Theater is a legendary concert venue which hosts approx. 120 live bands & events a year. The venue houses a main theater area with a stage and seating options on the floor and in the balcony. There is also a bar lounge area with it's own sound system that offers an intimate setting for shows. It also offers patrons an option to view & listen to acts on the main stage through large panes on glass. Events are not limited to music & entertainment but does include weddings, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvohs, etc. with catering provided by the Bear Cafe.

An iconic music edifice catering to all music lovers, and in particular the older clients and music lovers desiring to enjoy wholesome inspiring music. This attractive, self-serving space is a go-to venue for promoters and patron alike. Situated in the cool residential locale of Woodstock, New York, this is one on several music festival locations in demand for avid music lovers. A visit to this location stirs memory of long-ago events, and the transition into this current modern-day space for entertainment. The locations also include accommodations, a radio station, picnic ground, craft market, restaurant & lounge. There is an abundance of parking due to improved renovation and expansion of public amenities. A safe space for great relaxation and quality entertainment. Also display a "museum" that showcase a hosts of memorabilia outlining the progression of the musical dynasty that have solidify and exemplified the essence of Woodstock as a location synonymous with cultural, love music. The most recent showcase with the Third World Group/Band is the epitome of the historical importance of this venue, and its contribution to music development, especially Reggae!! The show also provided insight to the everchanging guard of Reggae music via the talented Upstate Reggae Posse group providing a classic opening of the show. Kudos to the promotion company. Great show!!!
Outstanding venue for live music the Sound system is supreme and the atmosphere and simple perfect. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Matisyahu here and it was one of the best concerts inside I've ever seen the lobby area sound system is like your front and center not too much bass not too much triple.

I love this place! The grounds are beautiful for hanging out before a show, and the intimate theater guarantees a great seat for everyone, especially if you arrive early.
My first experience with Bearsville was with the Psychedelic Furs' benefit concert for guitarist John Ashton 03.15.22 and WOW! An amazing experience all around. As a sound tech, the acoustics were incredible. I sat in the balcony and dare I say the acoustics were SO good, I almost forgot I was at a live concert it was both awesome and somewhat unsettling as I do like to hear the "bounce" of live sound. Can't say I've met a nicer, more relaxed staff than that of Bearsville. From the front door person to the bartenders, it was a relaxed atmosphere and very much appreciated. The venue is gorgeous and intimate and full of history. I can see why the space and the Woodstock music scene are so treasured. The fellow attendees were just so nice and some, so young! They flooded the front of the stage with dancing and good vibes. Kudos, young ones. Thank you for helping make the concert and experience extra special all around. And kudos, Bearsville! Ya 'done' good. Real good. :
Bluegrass festival . .very chill nice afternoon allow dogs. Great place
I went to a show on March 4, 2023. The venue was lovely. The acoustics were marvelous. My absolute FAVOURITE thing though? The staff. HANDS down. If I'm being honest, security was the best I've seen in a very long time. I'm glad I got to go to this venue and I'm looking forward to coming here again if any artists I like are worth the long drive from my state.
If you have a chance to go to bearsville theater do go the owner did a wonderful job inside the theater and she's also doing a wonderful job on the outside don't take my word go for yourself and enjoy a show that you like and I'll guarantee you are definitely go back again
Had a wonderful time at the Jazz Brunch. We sat outside by the creek to eat and listened to the music. Inside was very decorated with pictures of musicians.
Fantastic music venue. Beautiful, intimate with lots of musical history all around. Love it.
