Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery

So sad to say it was not a good experience. When we had the 1st visit to initiate the burial things went well, after that not so good. The funeral was at the funeral home then the funeral home transported the body to be buried. The next day when the family visited the grave there were no flowers. I called Greenwood and was told they threw them away. I could not believe they would throw away fresh flowers. It broke my heart to see this gravesite. The casket blanket and the flower sprays were in the trash before the family could visit the gravesite. They never laid them on the grave. The owner I talked with was very rude and tried to tell me that was the procedure because the flowers would die. Believe me there are many issues crumbling walls, washed away roads, unpainted entry gate, etc. around the cemetery that need attention if they were concerned it looked bad. Fresh flowers is a common site on a new grave. We have had the plots for 50+ years with some family already resting there so it’s not like you can pull your subscription. I have more plots, but do not plan to use their services again.

Loved the experience an amazingly beautiful cemetery! Very well kept, the bottom of the cemetery with a walking path up the hill was exceptional! Walking up and hearing footsteps and no one behind you or around you is spine chilling!

Don't let you decorate how ever you want since it is family property that was paid for, and we've had to replace the flower vase 3 separate times on my great grandmothers grave marker thank goodness my great great grandfathers don't come with one. because I'm assuming stupid ppl would take his to. They need cameras

What a BEAUTIFUL experience, with the excellent internment of my father Ralph Watson Jr. They made our experience the best and most comforting. Thank you so much for taking care of his affairs.

It is a very pretty place, not very safe though as it is near a rough part of Chattanooga and is somewhat remote.

Although near a bad part of town, this cemetery is very nice.
