Tracey is great, seeing alot of results from my laser hair removal and great price, always manages to fit me in. I now travel from Oxford because of the service and the price. I'm already recommending my friends to her
I booked a massage at Beauty Works, having been here a couple of years back. What I didn't realise is that it's no longer in the nice building it used to be and which it still claims to be on its website but in a tiny half-shop opposite, which I thought was just a hair salon. The massage couch is in a tiny back room which was cluttered and noisy due to the cafe next door. Because it's so small, the therapist had to literally shove the couch backwards and forwards to get to my other side. I didn't feel that the therapist had been properly trained in deep tissue massage either - or maybe she had but many, many years ago. I won't be going back, which is a shame as the company used to be really good, with lovely therapists.
I recently went into Beauty Works to get a procedure done and I was absolutely blown away by the professionalism and friendliness of the clinic. In particular, Tracey was knowledgeable, efficient and I have full trust in her ability as fully qualified and trained beauty physician, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you Tracey and team, see you soon. Michelle
Appalling service not only did they burn my mum with a patch test but the staff were so unwelcoming they didn’t have a clear price plan and I was told 3 different prices as it was disputed in front of her. Very unprofessional if you ask me
I was looking for a massage place in North London and found Beauty Works salon in Crouch End through online search. I booked an appointment for a back massage 30 min yesterday. On arrival I was greeted warmly and offered a glass of water. When I met Cathy, my therapist, she asked how I would like my back massage done and then carefully followed my requirements.
It was excellent; Cathy worked on the vast amounts of knots in my neck and shoulders, releasing a lot of tension. I left the salon feeling a lot better. The place was clean and the staff friendly and professional. I loved the treatment and wished I had booked a longer one! I will be back.
Have been going here for years and always had positive experiences. Appointment before last for a facial felt very rushed and not at all relaxing but gave them the benefit of the doubt but had a massage booked for today and when I got there was told they were too busy to meet the booking!!! Not only was it very disappointing to turn up and be told it was cancelled but the whole atmosphere of the place was stressful, not what you want for a place like that. Lady doing nails in the reception area was also the receptionist, answering phones, taking monies in-between being back and forth to her client. Such a shame they seem to over stretched themselves and letting down clients. I unfortunately will never go back
I went to Beauty Works for my very first ever microdermabrasion session and it definitely will not be the last! My therapist was absolutely amazing!! She was genuinely understanding and very helpful in trying to give me maximum results in one session. The treatment really calmed my acne prone skin and it was left feeling baby smooth, glowing and looked so plump. I booked few courses immediately after and I cannot wait to see the results of the full course! Also I really liked the look of the salon, a very calming atmosphere enhanced by lovely music and candles, not what you expect in the middle of busy Crouch End. I can thoroughly recommend the treatment and urge anyone thinking about having it to go ahead and BOOK it! It really works and has made such a difference to my confidence. I can’t recommend it enough!!
went for micro blading with Tracey , I did not complete consultation form or had patch test and was not asked any questions about any medical history. She was faffing about and when she finally decided to do the treatment she asked me to draw my eyebrows with a pencil she gave me from her makeup bag. She did not measure or use any tool and poured ink colour from a bottle looking like gene bottle which did not seem like a professional pigmentation bottle. I had to tell her several times how I wanted the shape of the eyebrows, all she kept saying was ' eyebrows are meant to sisters and not twins'. This lady does not do as you ask her and is not using professional products for Groupon clients. i have come away with both eyebrows looking different. Also if you want to show pictures of eyebrows she does not want to know. Her receptionist brought her cup of tea which she drank whilst doing my eyebrows, very unprofessional and she was also rummage through her handbag now and then. I now have to wait for my eyebrows to heal and go somewhere else to get them sorted. No regards to what customer wants, not hygienic and definitely not professional. Oh yes couch roll was not changed from the previous client.
I had booked for permanent eye-liner, I bought this through Goupon and the Lady was very unprofessional. I was made to go in a room and I explained what I wanted there was no consultation or communication to explain what is involved etc. a numbing gel was put that did not work as i saw it was the end of the tube. Tracy started with holding my eyes open so firmly .. and i went through excruciating pain for an hour on one eye and in-between i had to change rooms. She showed me in the mirror and line was crooked and below the line where it was supposed to be done and presume it was to do with over stretching my skin and lack of training. She went several times over to fix it to match the other eye and I think it only made it worse besides the pain i was going through. 2 hours later I could not take it anymore. I went to the front desk to get the Vaseline they recommend and I was told to pay an additional £100 for a thicker line yet the mistake was not mine but the therapist due to drawing the line below. I was also recommend to come again as the job was not finished and told that I would be paying an additional £100 pounds again when i return. I am horrified that i everyday I have to look at my crooked incompetent and below the line eyeliner, it makes my eyes look droopy. I cant even cover it up as the line is just in a wrong place. I would never recommend anyone to do permanent makeup with this salon.
