These folks are the worst. After attempting multiple times to communicate on a ticket that I wished to pay, taking a traffic class to remove, and mistakenly sending it to the wrong address, they refused to work with me on a simple mistake even though I had done everything with good intent even when I had proof!. Take care of good citizens? No, they ended up sending my ticket to a collection agency, now my good credit score is tarnished, likely, thanks to their obsessive need to collect money to offset their budgets, and refuse to work with citizens of this town who are trying to when there are real violators out there. Let's go after the soccer moms when they are driving 10 over, shall we? Municipal judges are there just to enforce money collection on tickets, not understand and work with folks. Will never ever vote these people into anything resembling government responsibility in the future. shameless. You hear that Mr Mayer?
Beaverton is a great place to get a traffic ticket. The officers are friendly and the staff at the Beaverton Municipal Court is great! Seriously, if I have to get a ticket, I'd choose to get one here. They're much better than all the other places I've been ticketed. I highly recommend.
Unfortunately they do not answer the phone and make their own hours, typical government step policies to silence the citizens and keep us at bay. You can’t even leave a message, good luck waiting in their lines. If a citizen is not allowed to access its municipalities then the municipalities are not to enforce laws on its citizens. The 5 star reviews on here are absolutely fake i.e. One laughable review said “Beaverton is a great place to get a traffic ticket.” Later went on to say [they’re much better than the other places I had been ticketed] said no one ever. Completely ridiculous. There is either 1 star review or 5 and most of them 1 star, which if they had any sense realize that planting their own 5 star reviews to make them somewhat believable as each one of them contradicts what the one star reviews are saying which is long lines and they absolutely do not answer the phones and now way to leave messages. Low energy staff fed up with it not due to them but the system that put them in this thankless position of squeezing the public and understaffing.
Got a failure to appear notice without ever receiving a ticket, took days to get ahold of someone on the phone to set up a payment plan and then got a notice of collections action after paying off the ticket. Get it together Beaverton municipal
According to all the previous reviews, I was expecting to have an awful experience. I went in to pay a ticket and everything went alright. The booth attendant was kind and helpful. Granted, it wasn't busy and I was equally kind, so I'm sure that influenced how things went. The interior of the building is quite old and a lot of things are kind of falling apart... Wonder what all the money is going to haha.
Tara picked up my call today after I missed my court appearance and made what was a very nerve wracking call a much nicer experience! She helped educate me on my options and made sure I had all the tools I needed to decide the next step. Super appreciative!:
Getting them over the phone is not a good experience. Even to pay them a ticket.... Plus on the hours here on Google dose not show the times they are closed during day's of operation. That would help to show so people don't show up on there break when they close for it.
The employees were actually quite helpful and friendly. Josh was great to work with. I was pleasantly surprised
Sent to collections; didn't even know I had a ticket. If you're going to fine people without their knowledge from all these "Big Brother" traffic cameras than you at least need certified mail. If a collections agency can find my new address, why couldn't you? Tried to call on several occasions during business hours, but no one ever answered. Sent in my motion to appeal via email after the collection notice; was emailed back with a denial and no explanation. Thanks for looking out for your own citizens...
Lady at desk was nice about collecting my money so they earn 1 star since I give 0 star to express how terrible this place is. All listed optione to deal with the ticket are not viable options, only real option is in person on their time.. Phones are off due to "short staffing" and online payment is not even possible. Cost me $250 to miss work for the day plus $200 for the red light fee plus traffic school fee.. cost me nearly $500 later for a red light ticket... their treatment for productive members of society is disturbing and should be irradicated. Wonder where the money goes?? They can't awnser the phones or operate during normal hours 9-5 so working class people still have a chance to deal with their tickets without missing work... I'd like to hold a town board meeting to have the Beaverton red light & speed trap cameras removed from intersections. This place is a parasitic gov body leeching of the public with apparent claims of keeping citzens safe when in reality their only concern is generating revenue, none of which going back into the community. Lining their pockets, since they sure don't fix the roads or any of the terribly designed intersections.. Absolutely theft.. thanks for nothing.
